Who has DF played that was so tough from the states you mentioned. Mallard Creek is the only one that I can think of and if it wasn't for the rain both years yall would've gotten smacked but it is what it is.

So, you would respect DF more if they played teams from out of state? They play in the state of SC and have dominated, winning multiple championships, proving they are the best 5A program

not sure what the argument is here

He is doing a great job at DF. He seems to be a great motivator. Something tells me Knotts is facing the same thing South Pointe did after 4 and that is graduating. However, he seems more committed to get the 5 than Strait Heron was at South Pointe having one foot out of the door as he had one of the worst kept secrets floating around about him that he was leaving to coach Legion. Next year with a new qb and without Hyman we will see how well DF can do. One of the old guard is long overdue a championship. It starts now in the weight room.

If you wanted to play DF so bad you should’ve made it to Williams-Brice    . DF has faced tough out of state teams from Texas, Kentucky, and North Carolina so don’t say he’s dodging.
He or his ad (i have a hard time believing a ad could tell tom no)ducked byrnes for a bit durring his run up at indy.got a scrimmage got tore up .yeah everyone knows who he has went up against and who he/they ducked.i don't blame him hell noone really wanted a piece of them except gaffney .they byrnes also played everyone in timbuck too. I find it hard to believe that a game that close couldnt be scheduled.knotts is a solid good coach.i don't care for some of his antics .but Bentley and Miller had everyones number for a while.

Id really like to know about a story i read on a highschool football forum some time ago .im searching for the link.
But according to that which was typed some kid in his mid teens got boxed in the mouth by tom through the fence.i do not know this to be true .but according to the story he walked over there was some jawing ole boy hit the fence which the kids face was on.i dont know what was said either. If that story is true it dont sound very good for a character reference. I mean any school could find someone to go over there and remove the guys.
If it was a 13 14 year old it would be a problem if it was a 18 yr old then maybe not so much.a lot of grey area for a story i dont know that is true.

That being said .i liked tom when he was a assistant at duke i think he is a very good coach.
Theres a lotta smoke that surrounds him at times.

I'm not a DF fan, but didnt realize the level of blatant jealousy many have in regards to Knotts. The man took a program that was in the tank and turned it into a dynasty. Yea, he is a little arrogant, and doesnt mind bragging on how good they are. But to somehow try to find a way to legitimize the fact that he owns 5A is avoiding reality. Of course, I saw the same type of reaction when Bentley was in the midst of his run at Byrnes.

Mania is correct, that it starts in the weight room. TK oversees all of that. He also is a superior play caller, which is essential to consistent winning (see Kyle Richardson)

As you have notice, DF is not loaded with athletes and talent like some schools. Before TK, they were ok at best, a little below average. How is INDY since he left?

He's a unique coach in that every call and every decision goes through him. He calls all offensive plays, and every defensive call goes though him for approval. All off season activities go through him. He has a certain way that he wants everything done and evidently it works in whatever state he coaches in

and yes he is abrasive and wins all the time. people don't like that
