Sumter has a good coach. The talent is there as well, so

Barnes has not won it there yet, but under him they usually beat 9 out of 10 opponents

For several years Sumter would get off to a slow start but then get it together before the region games. They won't have that opportunity this year. Didn't they advance to 4A-1 championship game a few years ago after losing a couple of non-region games early? (The year pulled off that come-back win in the semi-finals at Summerville.) :)

Where is BBrown? He always posts the most detailed and honest summary's of Sumter's games.
Didn't that happen back when Reggie Kennedy was coaching there? Then he left and went to Irmo.

Hey Fortfor5, how did My Coworker's Son Jalen Levine do in this scrimmage for Fort D? I heard that Fort D's 1st string defense looked pretty good in the Scrimmage. Fortfor5 does your Son play on the Varsity now for The Patriots? If so, what position does he play and what grade is he in?

Been gone for a minute. Didn’t make that scrimmage, won’t make the one tonight, and will miss the first game as I’m finishing up travel basketball. I know Sumter has big holes to fill offensively, though they probably have the best QB there since Stephen Curtis. They will be fine defensively.

I was there. At first the scrimmage was just a scripted 8 play series where each team get 8 plays. It was fort 1 score sumter 0 when the 1s were in. Sumter 2 fort 0 when the 2s were in. Then they played a scrimmage with a clock. Fort 1 sumter 0 when the 1s were in. After that no one scored so all in all fort 1s had 2 scores to sumter 1s 0. And sumter 2s had 2 scores to fort 2s 0

Hey BEF. Jalen looked good. He wears #1 for us. He has really good speed, long and athletic. He hits pretty good too
