You hate to lose a 2 year starter..
Especially one that could run the way this kid can.
But with the new coaching staff in the ville, this will probably workout better in the long run.
The backup will be a junior with a good arm and more suited for this offense or the Wave have a rising sophomore
With a strong arm that with some playing time could be the better option and use the Junior at wide out.
Time will tell....

I was surprised but i am familiar with rafs style so i wasnt totally surprised .i knew the stagnant offense was gone.
Noone liked the old offense except your opponents.

I wonder if raff borrowed the newer offense we were are installing . Which would require a more traditional qb skills than quick feet .he left about the time we got it.

Think Byrnes is going to surprise some teams! Heard the new strength coach have brought back the ole Byrnes mindset!
I got a chance to see them this past weekend in 7on7 and couldn't believe the overall team speed!
QB looked sharp and Mack Long may be best running back in the state! Seen some of their lineman and they are massive!
The DF game will tell a lot about Byrnes!

Thanks for Posting these Rebel-Fan-74!!!! On Paper this looks like Beaufort's best team in years. I have told everyone that Beaufort should be ranked in the Top 5 Preseason 4A Football. I am so anxious about this season!!!! My Eagles should have the potential to win a State Title this season.

committed to Marshall.The coach was on tv the other night
saying he was a good one.I will get to see next Thursday

The good part about it is...the team that ended his beloved PROTECTED streak was barely in the top 100.
Get to #1 in the nation (like the Rebels did) then you might be able to spout off at the mouth. Until then...its all garbage.
Yall barely squeeked by Dorman during the last 2 meetings (pre-corona).

Just to put it in perspective for you, the Rebels played LA, PA, CA, FL (several times), OH, VA, NC, GA, TN, AL...and Gaffney. Who yall got? Lol. Thats what I thought.
