Sure was a lot of flapping of the gums about Catawba Ridge and their quarterback. Well...... We're Greenwood. Not on here to talk junk. I'm just saying we're Greenwood.... That simply means if you play us, bring your A game. For if you don't.... Well......

Still have a ways to go before we're all the way back but we're getting there and will get there with Liner. Hopefully we'll earn some of the respect back with Liner that was lost with Pippin. Not t trying to pick on Pippin. Just keeping real. Time will tell.
I debated on commenting on this, but Congratulations on the win.

I will continue to remind you that Pippin was playing against AAAAA competition and Liner is playing against AAAA. Pippin was constantly challenging for either the Lower/Upper State Championship at other schools with consistently 10-12+ win seasons prior to coming to Greenwood.

Dan continues to have success in Italy. He missed playing for the Italian Pro league championship because of COVID so he must still be a good coach since he replaced Art Briles (Former Baylor Head Coach) over there.

I am excited for Greenwood to have success this season and wish them well, but let's keep Pippin's name out of these conversations unless you're going to say something positive, please.
For 6 years Greenwood fans had to watch Laurens, Easley, westside, Hanna, woodmont storm the field after beating Greenwood. These teams have always been in our region regardless of class. Teams we haven't lost to in 10-15 years. Absolutely nothing to do with 5A. That's why some gwd fans are a little salty about Pippin. Then Liner shows up and instantly we're beating teams we should beat and the losses are at least competitive. Not 50 something to nothing. Pippin may have been a great coach at other places. Just wasn't a good fit at Greenwood for whatever reason. But IT WAS NOT BECAUSE OF WHAT CLASS WE WERE IN OR TALENT.

It's great to see Greenwood winning... SC HS football is better when Greenwood is good. That said -- wouldn't be overly excited about a 3 point win over Catawba Ridge. The spreads I saw had CR favored by 1.5 pts, basically a toss up, and Greenwood squeaked out a great win in a toss up game.

I expect the next couple games from Greenwood will look like this:
Win by ~20 points vs. North Augusta
Lose by ~35 points vs. Dutch Fork
