The bracket is kind to region 6 this year. Our 3rd place team gets a home game and the region champ won't have to travel at all unless they're on their way to Benedict College.

Our starting linebacker got hurt in the West Flo game he is also our go to tailback when we need that extra punch. He’s going to be out a few weeks they say.

If we lost our starting qb that would hurt bad so I hope SF gets him back for the playoffs. That is the most important position on the team is your qb. Next man up is not always an easy thing at that position.

Well, two big changes to the bracket this week...

Beaufort and A C Flora are now in the Runner Up spot.

Game of the Week looks to be down in Florence Friday Night as Myrtle Beach and South Florence will meet for the Region Championship. The winner moves to 5-0 in the Region and the loser could only hope for a tie at 5-1 but would lose the first tiebreaker, the head to head match up.

Big question for me, is the South Florence QB still out and what is the possibility of his return at some point this season?

Another big question is what is the plan for Region II with all the missing games? Does Laurens have to forfeit? There is no time for a rescheduled game...

So no chance for playoffs at all it sounds like to me...

We'll make the playoffs and I'm pretty sure we've got 3rd place (or better) locked up, even if we lose our last two region games. 3rd place from region 6 hosts in the first round this year.

Our sophomore back-up QB is performing well. We should beat WF in week 10, the region championship should be determined this week when MB visits SF.

What I meant was no chance QB could be back in the playoffs...

Yes, the playoffs are a lock and yes, the worst case for you is 2 Region losses but since one of those would be to WF, they would hold the tiebreaker and bump you to 3rd, assuming they beat Darlington and you in the final week.

Region I
Westside is #1
Easley is #2
Walhalla, Pickens and TR are all #3 so tiebreakers will determine who makes the #3 and #4 seed and who is done for the year!

Region II
Who knows? Laurens is 1-0 in region with a win over winless Eastside. Games against Greenville and Greenwood were called off for COVID issues. They play Greer Friday Night. All I can say with some degree of certainty is that the #1 seed is Greenwood. If Laurens beats Greer, do they get the #2 seed since a 2-0 record is better than a 2-1 record? Personally, I think their game against Greer should be for the #3 seed and Greenville is the #2 seed.

Region III
Simple one here, York and South Pointe play for the Region Championship on Firday with Indianland and Lancaster playing in the PRE-FIRST ROUND of the playoffs as the winner advances and the loser is done.

Region IV
Someone better get the tiebreakers ready.
Three teams at 3-1 and 1-1 against each other.
Three teams at 1-3 and 1-1 against each other.
The 3-1 teams play the 1-3 teams Friday, so it could very well be
Three teams at 4-1 and 1-1 against each other.
Three teams at 1-4 and 1-1 against each other.
I honestly have no idea here...

Region V
South Aiken is #1
North Augusta and Aiken play Friday for #2 & #3 with Airport at #4.

Region VI
Myrtle Beach #1
South Florence -vs- West Florence for the #2 seed if SF wins. If WF wins it's a 3 way tie with SF, WF and Hartsville... yes I know Hartsville has to beat Darlington, but come on, Darlington is 0-5 and has been outscored by an average of 64-0 in Region games. I'm going to project a Hartsville win there. For this projection, I went with SF and Hartsville has the head to head win over WF.

Region VII
May River is #1
Beaufort is #2
James Island is #3 with a win over Bluffton.
Should Hilton Head upset May River and Bluffton beats James Island, then James Island falls all the way to #5, Hilton Head would be #3 and Bluffton #4. A JI loss to Bluffton and a May River win over Hilton Head and then JI, HH and Bluffton are in a 3 way tie. Got it?
