Yet another reason SC is too small for 5 classifications

Agreed. If they went the opposite way, 3 Classifications, it would be easier. If they want to crown more champions, do like they did before, in the Playoffs, have 3A Division I and 3A Division II. With 3 Classifications, they could cut down on Region travel times, have larger Regions (you don't have to play everyone in your Region every year), and still have 3, 4, 5 or even 6 State Champions.

would be interesting to have the top 20 schools in enrollment in one class, then everyone else divided into 3 other classes (so 4 total classes)..5 champs is a little watered down but don't see them reducing the number

Sorry but I don’t buy it. If you want to be a big time program then you’ll travel plus people still have to travel to you.

The old let’s screw everybody for the sake of the one argument. Too bad. They chose to build where they chose to build. Get onboard or get out of the way.

They don’t like it they don’t have to play and besides they already have that problem now with the current alignment

They can always petition for lower division status if they can’t handle it.

It makes to much sense to about 90% of the rest of the state. Here’s another idea get better and win and you get more home games during playoffs. Besides that it’s just as far from Clemson to Columbia or Charleston to Columbia or bamberg to Columbia . It’s always been distance that’s one thing that hasn’t changed and never will.
