I know nothing about them, but somebody please explain why West Oak seems to be the worst team in any classification in the upstate year after year. Not expecting state championships, but everybody around them at least has a good hear every now and then.
When this school was created from the merged schools of Westminster and Oak Way, there was a lot of hostility between the 2 communities..... and it never went away. They actually have been pretty decent in wrestling over the years, and for some unknown reason they think they are a basketball school.

On top of that there are plenty of kids in that the school that would rather go deer hunting after school or get drunk on Friday night.

It's also a weird district in that it covers a lot of area and really has no 'town'.

I think they dominate those high school fishing competitions that aren’t sanctioned schsl events

Damn stretch it sounds so bad it had to be entertainment to watch. I went to the Greenville/Byrnes game. I won’t say what I really want to say but put it this way, I wish our schedule was different. Bad play calls and undisciplined is what comes to mind especially with one team.
Looking forward to the champs getting back to action next week.
The fun part was seeing that on of the cops on site was a buddy of mine and he just let me watch the game from the sideline with him. I thought about leaving early but the players on the Spartans team kept looking like they were gonna start a fight and I was waiting for the action that never came. I was in contact with one of our coaches who was at the Hart County game and it doesn’t sound like they are gonna be the ones to threaten the win streak. But that’s why you play the game so we’ll see what happens.

Some things of note for West-Oak:
63-0 is the biggest win in school history and the most points scored in a single game. (They've had seasons where they didn't have 63 total points)
They've already outscored 4 out of the last 6 teams West-Oak has fielded.
With games coming up against Calhoun Falls and Ware Shoals they could 4-1 for the first time in 14 years.

Region play won't be nice to them though but for a team that has never had anything to be excited about, except for former NFL punter Andy Lee, they should be happy with these positives.

Sounds like some entertaining viewing. Must’ve been atrocious and hard to watch. Did the running clock not go into effect?

First half drug on forever but thankfully West-Oak was up 43-0 to end the first half so they had a running clock all second half.

It's up there for worst games I've been to/apart of. When we went to AC Flora in 2014 was awful because that was the night it was clear Coach Rob had lost the team and he bailed a year later. Seneca 2017 getting shutout at home with that inept offense we had for 4 quarters was not fun to be on the field for.

I get it but those teams had players
I’m talking about just the lack of skill and ineptitude.
I wouldn’t be surprised to see Daniel put 63 on west oak
In the first half

When we played Berea in 2020 that was the least skilled football team ever. We ran the Z drag route to Eli Merck and he was jogging and still outran the secondary for a TD. West-Oak is worse than them so there is no telling what the score will be.

I thought the Lower State might have some competition for DWD this season in 3A, but not looking like it. Beaufort, Camden and Dillon are thus far, underwhelming. Unless the entire team catches COVID in the playoffs and has to forfeit, I don't see any team playing closer that 4 TDs...3A is that bad. I watch Clinton's practices...can't throw the ball and not a lot of size...not sure who else in the Upstate...maybe Powdersville? Still not drinking that Kool-Aid.

3A is down...5A seems down too...4A is where the excitement seems to be. Those guys are fun to watch. SP, SF, WF, Hartsville, NW, ACF...some good teams.
