Daniel vs Hart County

Let’s face it Daniel is going to win 3 straight this year and probably 4 before being reclassified to 4A. Unfortunately besides a couple teams like Daniel, bhp and wren that whole classification is the old 2A. Heck if those 3 teams played in this new classification the last 20 years one of them would have won every year. Nothing against Daniel they are where they are. They will probably win the next 30 in a row which is great. But Fruster doesn’t want to play anyone tough. Sucks they won’t even get challenged. He knew Greer and Hart was down this year. Pretty funny he canceled against Greenville for the Easley jamboree. Didn’t want to get challenged.

Greenville definitely looks like a challenge with their 0-3 record. Pretty sure Greenville also hosted their own jamboree the same night as the Easley Jamboree, but clearly you know more than anyone else. Stay mad buddy, the old saying is still true. “They all hate us”

Come on, Stretch....even Dub lamented the DWD HC's scheduling. Gville signed on the dotted line with Dorman, Byrnes, Hanna..,.I'm sure you think you could beat those 3 teams, but you will never know, will you. Being a big fish in a small, stagnant pond doesn't prove much. But you guys admit the fans , admin, and community are happy with it...guess its OK. Sad, really when you guys could challenge yourself and find out if you could handle the heat of a Dorman, Buford, Chambers, etc...but we don't know.

I have said on multiple occasions that our schedule is disappointing. That being said my next statement is really going to upset a lot of people. While I was sitting there Friday watching Greenville/ Byrnes my thought was Daniel beats both of these teams walking away. Sorry but everyone has this opinion of Daniel but they never come see us play. We beat Byrnes 2 tds or more and Greenville would get run out of the place. It’s an opinion that will never be quantified but so is the opposite opinion. Also we didn’t bail on the Easley jamboree. We weren’t invited nor were we invited to the Lake Hartwell jamboree that every other team in 6 counties in it. Even though Daniel is the school that is closest to you guessed it Lake Hartwell.
So ok what are we to do . Just keep winning. I find it funny we know when teams are down so that’s when we schedule them. How is anyone supposed to know that before the season starts? We also haven’t got to pick our playoff opponents the last two years. I hear all this love for Camden go ask them whose been the best team they’ve faced the last two years. Gray, Byrnes , Dillon , Hartsville , Myrtle Beach etc. If their honest I know what they would say because their fans in the parking lot after loses sure think it’s the D W Daniel Lions.So I’m tired of holding back none of you have to like but you better learn to love it .Because it’s not going anywhere!

First I’m not mad just stating obvious. Daniel did cancel on Easley jamboree against Greenville. But that really don’t matter. The fact of the matter is Daniel is going to win 2 more unless their qb gets hurt or plays bad. No one is going to be able to guard all 3 WRs tink, Merck and brown kid and they don’t need the rb from last year as this one this year is great. So QB is weakest link. I would just like to see them face tough out of conference schedule. Everyone knows 2nd string can play their conference schedule and still win lol.

Didn't upset, made me think. Dub....I watch DWD film...the one shortfall is overall team speed. Speed kills. Merck for example. Runs excellent routes, has great hands, a QBs' WR - knows where to find the open spot, with good speed. That being said teams like Fort D, South Pointe, Dorman etc...all have a bus full of players that run a 4.5 forty. Pickens County- it is what it is. The last time DWD played a team with decent coaching and excellent overall team speed, they got beat....Ridge View. Camden is a good team, but not a great team. Fort D., South Pointe, Northwestern etc. Until you play those teams...and beat them regularly- not a one off deal, no one is going to give DWD the respect at the level you believe they deserve. That's no one's fault but the HC. Schedule tough games- period. The worst team on DF's schedule might beat the best team on DWDs schedule. I would not bet a large sum of cash on Seneca to beat North Augusta for example. Might be a good game, but I wouldn't bet the house on it. Like this week...Hart Co or Stratford...not sure who wins but I would lean toward the team with more speed...Stratford. The game is different these days. Region play...DF's region is not the toughest in 5A but not horrible. Walhalla, West-Oak, Seneca, Pendleton, Crescent... save Seneca...awful competition- I know, I know you don't pick your region, but just pointing out the importance of non-region scheduling.

DF has our own problems to solve this season and not hitting on all cylinders. That being said we have played a tough non-region start to the season and found a way to win. TK has been in tough, tough games before as have the Foxes...they know what it takes to get it done.

We can agree to disagree on this but I will say your HC needs to give his balls a tug. If you he doesn't want to schedule an in-state team go to Charlotte or Atlanta...can't sling a dead cat without hitting some really good high school teams.

So Ridge view beat us because of team speed.
DFOLDMAN you are making my point for me.
Y’all really don’t know what your talking about.
If you noticed we played the same ridge view team earlier in the year and blew their doors off.
The difference was we had a hurt qb that required hip surgery after the season and lost our top wr round one of the playoffs. We also turned thee ball over 5 times and lost by a Td. If venebles doesn’t get hurt we’re looking at a 4 peat this year . As for beating teams like south point ask them what happened to them the year before. We knocked them from 5 in a row.

38-17 win for the Lions. First half was great we started the game with a KO return TD (I said to watch out on special teams in this one) then just kept rolling the defense was doing a good job and it was 28-3.

Second half we gave up a ton of yards on defense they would just pound the rock and they had a decent RB. Offense really didn’t do much the pass wasn’t working and the coaches didn’t want to run the ball. A win is a win but I wasn’t pleased with the second half performance.

The two Tds we had called back didn’t help either, or the clank off the up sight at the end of the half. We were better on the penalties in this game but we were definitely out of sync and that might be from the bye we had. Need to find a way to get 21 involved in game more just too fast to not do that . Also 44 needs to be playing more on D. Hart county was probably the biggest and deepest team we’ve seen in 5 years . Stop counting at 80 players pregame. For some strange reason they play a lot of guys both ways. Anyone complaining after a 3 Td win LOL. Oh and btw that Greer team everyone said wasn’t that good of a win . What’s that looking like now.

We would’ve beat down Greenville or Byrnes last week.
Also the last time I checked Greer and Easley are 4A schools. Greenville never done a thing but choke hard.
