Ashley Ridge 25 Beaufort 21 Final
Re: Ashley Ridge 25 Beaufort 21 Final
Thanks for the link Jack. I got to watch the end of the game. Hate it for the Eagles! I was pulling for them to get the TD. Jimmy is a good fan.

THANKS for the link! Like DeCav, I caught the last 8 minutes of the game. I wonder if this will have any real impact on playoff projected seedings?EHSMeanGreen wrote:Beaufort 14 Ashley Ridge 7 Half

Yes it could. Like I just posted in another thread.
That win by AR could end up moving Spartanburg into the D2 bracket because AR might just make the playoffs now on Points.
Give me just a little bit to tabulate...

Maybe Spartanburg would like to play another "scrimmage" against Northwestern.....this time in Rock HillEHSMeanGreen wrote:Yes it could. Like I just posted in another thread.

Spartanburg has nowhere to hide in the post season...

You know Sparty never comes over here. No reason not to have an open discussion...do you guys think he really wants to be in Div 1? I suppose he does in the event that he can get a game with Summerville which I agree would be cool. Either way, Spartanburg isn't gonna last long in the post season I'm afraid to say.

I've been a troll today.....oooppss....I mean...I've been on a roll today
Miller should turn Spartanburg back into a perennial power like they used to be. There is just too much talent there that just needs to be disciplined, channeled, and properly trained. It was not going to happen overnight. I think too many of the Burg posters lost sight of reality after the scrimmage season. Too much trash talk has resulted in many dead crows being served up to too many of the Burg posters. Enthusiasm is one thing, but it just went over the top early this year. I give Miller about 3 or 4 years to get things really headed in the right direction....starting by building the foundation at the feeder middle school level. Patience on the part of the Burg faithful is what is needed now.
All that said, realistically they could very well be out in the first round, or barring a run like in 2006???, at best it will be a one and done. Honestly, I would like to Northwestern spank them really good in Rock Hill.

Re: Ashley Ridge 25 Beaufort 21 Final
So in your projection, AR, Beaufort and Bluffton all would end the season at 2-3 in region VIII. None of these teams beat the other 2 so the first tie breaker would be playoff points. Simply looking at the max possible points prior to AR's loss last night and according to SF Band Dad's spreadsheet we have - Beaufort 37.5, AR 35 and Bluffton 32.5. I imagine Beaufort dropped another point last night putting them at 36.5 max which is still way in front of AR. And because AR and Beaufort practically played the same schedule, Beaufort would claim the 3rd automatic qualifier in Region VIII in your projection.

That is the way I have it projected. But just like last night's game between AR and Beaufort, I could be WRONG.GoBigGreen wrote:So in your projection, AR, Beaufort and Bluffton all would end the season at 2-3 in region VIII. "IF" they AR, Beaufort and Bluffton finish 2-3 in Region.
I have the points tie-breaker favoring Beaufort for the 3rd automatic bid.
Lot of Football left, though.
Fort D will have a big say-so in how all this comes out because their 3 games left are
Bluffton, Beaufort and Ashley Ridge.
I have Fort D projected to win all 3 of those games, but they could lose all 3. Who knows?
