I think it's at 2:48:50 mark on the YouTube video, 1:30 on the WPDE highlights. Both are inconclusive, but it looks like a catch to me. The Line Judge was in the perfect position to see the play and he didn't hesitate to call it a catch.

I think the bigger mistake was the pass interference call against Byrnes on that final drive. That happened right in front of me and the ball was un-catchable and there was very little contact.

So everyone appears to be living off the tradition of teams like Byrnes and South Pointe. They do (and will always) have athletes, yet look at their undefeated records going into their games against those Florence schools.
Starting with Byrnes at 5-0: BC (2-3), Chapman (2-4), Greenville (2-3), Greer (1-5), Wren (0-5). Until last night Byrnes hasn’t played anyone with a winning record.
South Pointe: Gaffney (3-2), Rock Hill (1-4), Mallard Creek (4-2), Chester (3-3). At the time of the SF game Gaffney, MC, and Chester were all 2-2.
Let’s not even start on the Florence schools and their combined opponents records. With all the cupcakes going around we should all go on a huge diet! I will throw SF a bone on one game (Oceanside), but other than that who have these teams played other than cupcakes and living off teams histories of success rather than current state?

Byrnes is not a good team. Far too inconsistent and play calling is horrible. We cannot gain momentum and build on it. I think we can beat Boiling Springs to get one win in the Region.

I disagree with you on that! Byrnes has a very good football team but I can understand your assessment. Dutch Fork is very beatable this year. I think Byrnes is just another good team just not great anymore like when Bobby Bentley or Chris Miller was there. Dutch Fork is still clearly the team to beat in 5A.

Teams stack up against each other differently and some even play better at home. That was a long ride for Byrnes to play a 4a squad with nothing to lose. The pressure was all on Byrnes. Now, how these teams respond is going to be huge. I’m still interested in seeing how South Florence and South Pointe responds.

Byrnes Defense is as good as any defense in the state even with the loss of star LB Dingle!

The offense have struggled EVERY FIRST HALF this year! Greer and Last night all 4 quarters and at the end the defense just gave up two or three plays they have made all year!

Not going to say anything else about a certain position because last time had got accused of being a dad and a little league coach!
But when it's all said and done I just hope he feels it was worth it!!!!!

The defense looked good for the whole game, except for that last drive. On those last three or four plays Byrnes pulled the DBs so far back it looked like they were going to receive a punt. Go to 2:51:00 mark in the YouTube video and check out how they are lined up.
