* Knights may get caught overlooking SF and thinking too much about Week 11 date

I know you never want to look past a team but in reality, the ONE game that has any meaning to either GC and Stratford is their region VII championship game next week. Whoever wins will get a very high seed in the playoffs. Why NOT look past S Florence???

You are correct, both teams have a more important game next week. Depending on what happens elsewhere in region 6 this Friday*, South Florence may still need to beat West Florence to win the region title. Those are some big-time bragging rights in Flo-town and finishing 2nd would drop SF from the #3 seed to around #7.

* If Sumter loses to Conway this week it eliminates the possibility of a 3-way tie for 1st place and the winner of the SF v WF game will be the region champ. If a 3-way tie does occur SF will probably claim the #1 slot based on points, but it's not a sure thing yet. If WF gets caught looking ahead this week and loses to CF, SF is the region champ and CF will be in the driver's seat to claim the 3rd automatic berth and a round-trip "bus ride of despair" to Duncan, SC.

I don't think CF has ever been to the playoffs, so they might just be ignorant enough to grab that ring.

I just listened to the recording of this evening's Swamp Talk show. They spent a fair amount of time discussing the coach's bone-head comments.

I wish I had got off work in time to listen live and call in.

Why would a coach ever make comments like that? How will he and his team look if it's a close game,....or if they make that long trip and get handed a big L ?

Like i e said before the knights needed a lot of help to get past us.id rather play them again instead of fort.i got the feeling Friday fort has turned it up a notch since we have played them.the gators should not have any issues dispatching the knights.

Stratford needed help getting past Summerville? Really........ The worst game we played all year and we still pulled it out. Guess we will have to agree to disagree on that one. (not even going to discuss the officiating )
