It is my opinion that Head Coaches and Offensive Co-Ordinators should try to adapt their game plans to play to the strengths of their players and not try to get those players to adapt to just what they can coach. High School Football has evolved to the point where the days of just running the Triple Option are long gone. Most of these players coming up have had lots of practice through specialty camps and have had the benefit of being coached up by next level coaches. These kids don't grow up in a vacuum anymore. I admire the coaches for spending their time teaching the kids about more than just football, but those who do not help the players excel are definitely not doing them justice.

Absolutely. I agree. Cathcart said he went to triple option because he had a bunch of runners. He said he'd actually prefer running out of spread. That worked for him. Doesn't mean it'll work now. This offense isn't good for getting receivers exposure either. It is what it is I suppose. Lol.

We do have some talented receivers on the team. It's not rocket science.....we just need the backup quarterbacks in when the coaches call a pass play. No offence to the starting QB. He's a great kid but he has to understand it's a team effort when it comes to getting the job done. The backups are more accurate when throwing down the field. Maybe the starter is too amped up or something. Not sure why he can't connect to the receivers down field. Hopefully, the coaches can get that worked out next year because it's too late to work on it right now. We have to go with the best option if we want to make a run for a state title.

There will be no run to the title. Just reality.

Hopefully, the coaches realize what they have on the team. By now, they should know what clicks and don't click. Use the Dabo logic....right?

If you're speaking of the next man up or you have to compete everyday for your starting position logic, which is probably most college coaches; this isn't the logic at Greenwood. There is clearly what looks like loyalty to certain positions even if there may be others that can do it better. Me personally, my QB would have to be able to pass at least enough to be serviceable if that is needed. Seems like for years that Greenwood has preferred what feels like a running back at QB. Yet every school we've played outside of the last one, has a kid that can pass the ball.

You right, seem like every school we played so far has a college style QB. It's hard to believe that Greenwood doesn't have one at all or maybe we not utilizing him on the roster.

I just hate watching us go backwards. I want to see these coaches and players succeed and see Liner win his first State Title as head coach.

Well. I gave my opinions during the process. Many in Greenwood tried to convince me why I was wrong. So I decided to take a wait and see approach. I'm still doing that, but I know what I see. Not trying to be negative, but honest. I love the staff from a personal standpoint, but just don't like what i'm seeing.
