Yes(Can't explain how though). They're Max possible points are 37 which is more than Hillcrest and Dutch Forks Maximum points.
Also if North Augusta wins next friday they would win their region and Dutch Fork would finish second, moving Summerville up a seed. In short Summerville can move up but they need to win and they need help.

I have heard for years the high school league in S.C. was corrupt and run by men with no character and I believe that was proven to be true last year (with Goose Creek), but the more I try to figure the system out the less I seem to know.
No comment here on the first part, on the second part, there are some good threads to help you understand on this board, or you can go to http://www.schls.org and see the AAAA Handbook online.
Sniper24 wrote:I get them trying to assign a point system to reward...and penalize teams based on their schedule, and opponents won/lost record but there has to be some sort of "eye test" put on it. There is no way a (3-7) Wade Hampton team deserves to be in and a (6-4) White Knoll team or a West Ashley (5-5) left out. Not to mention Bluffton.

In fairness, I am new to the area and the state so I do not know each of the teams schedules and broken tem down win by win or loss by loss (I will nest year as I get ore into it) but there as to be some sort of checks and balances system for this playoff system.
Going by record alone is not good either. Look at White Knoll for example. Their wins are against teams with a combined 9 or 10 wins all season, most of the teams they beat are AAA schools. I would almost put Wade Hampton in over White Knoll....

IF,
Dutch Fork doesn't win Region V {North Augusta would have to beat them Friday}
AND
Berkeley beats Myrtle Beach

That should get them to #2 or #3 if only one of the two outcomes above happens

Reb 74, you working on your subliminal messaging??

I can see Stratford being 9-1 or 9-2, but for them to get to 10-1, you are already implying they are beating my Gators.......not gonna happen.

What if you got 0 points for a loss? I know there's got to be a reason why that's not the case now, but what are the negatives and how would that affect the projected brackets?

BTW, I am a Byrnes fan and I can remember when they made the playoffs with 1 win. I think in '90 or '91. Any system is going to be unfair to somebody, every year.

I ran through it and then I lost it somehow. I think I remember the at- large's though.

If only Wins got you points then the 5 at- larges would be
Dorman
Spartanburg
White Knoll
West Ashley
Bluffton

But it was extremely close(like .5 points here or there.)

If Summerville were to win in their season finale against Bluffton, would we move to the #2 seed if either of the two scenarios occur:

1) Berkeley defeats Myrtle Beach this Friday to secure a winning record at 6-5

OR

2) North Augusta defeats Dutch Fork for the Region V crown.

I am thinking #1 might move us to the two seed but #2 would only move us to the two or three seed as Hillcrest could still have more playoff points. If both the above scenarios occur, we would more than likely be the two seed.

EHSMeanGreen Playoff Projection Possibilities
*These are not intended as an argument against Rebel-Fan-74's Projections*
just what if something different happens....

DIVISION ONE
1 Byrnes
16 Wando

8 Boiling Springs
9 Dorman

4 Spring Valley
13 Spartanburg

5 Dutch Fork
12 Mauldin

2 Hillcrest
15 Rock Hill

7 Sumter
10 Lexington

3 Summerville
14 Ashley Ridge

6 Gaffney
11 Fort Dorchester

DIVISION TWO
1 Goose Creek
16 Wade Hampton

8 South Pointe
9 Irmo

4 South Florence
13 Easley

5 Stratford
12 Nation Ford

2 Northwestern
15 West Florence

7 Greenwood
10 York

3 North Augusta
14 Laurens

6 Beaufort
11 Blythewood

Outcomes in this projection that are different from Rebel-Fan-74s....
North Augusta beating Dutch Fork (Region 5 - 1.North Augusta 2. Dutch Fork 3. Lexington)
Sumter beating Wando, (giving Sumter "6" wins, Sumter opponents get that +0.5 pt)
more details later....

Is Ashley Ridge in whether they win or lose to Fort D?? That could shake things up and send Stratford to Division 1.
