Just curious, what is the Berkeley County pay scale for Head Football coaches (Berkeley, Stratford, Goose Creek, Cane Bay)? I think in Rock Hill School District 3 the range is $75K to $85K. I know that Clover was paying $97K for Coach Lane before he left. Heard that they will now go over the $100K mark.....thanks.

Dr brown made 130k at Berkeley. Cane bay coach makes 110k. Craig made 104k at Hanahan and I believe the other coaches are around 98k. Page Wofford made 78k at northwestern. You can look up every coach in South Carolina and find out.

really it is school salary plus a stripend, brown made dr pay and 41 years. most get about 14,000 to 15,900 exra for head school plus school salary

Heard Westside High in Anderson County agreed to pay Coach Lane $120K. Clover High was suppose to start interviews this past week. Rock Hill School District #3 seems to be way behind in pay compared to you guys in Lowcountry - Berkeley, Dorchester etc. vs. Rock Hill, Northwestern and South Pointe.

As cost of living continues to increase in York County all the districts need to figure this thing out. Football City USA is an attractive place to coach football, but a guy needs to take care of himself and his family. RH and Northwestern need their own on campus stadiums AND coaches that do what Page Wofford does on and off the field for kids in the community let alone his athletes need to be paid more competitively. Probably won’t match the Charleston area, but we can’t stay this far behind.

We don’t need the high schools in Rock Hill to become revolving doors of good young coaches leaving for greener pastures and we don’t need it to be a place where average can get by and punch a clock.
