Another guy in search of something different. He is obviously unsure of what he wants, or he would have taken one of the open 5A jobs. Nothing against him, but maybe he should do some deep soul searching before committing to any job at this point. Can he coach? You bet he can. Can he motivate his players? One of the best in the state. We, at Beaufort, saw, up close, what losing his sister did to him. I am not going to throw rocks at a guy with that much weighing on his mind. Good luck to him in his quest to find inner peace.

He was part of the youth team I sponsored. One of the best young men to come through and one of several eventual NFLers we had.

Money talks, unless he’s getting paid something extra under the table through a booster, he isn’t going to make as much as he could in RHSD3 as other places.

Then again maybe he isn’t motivated by money. Rock Hill is a great place to raise a family, after all.

I was very surprised to hear this about Devonte Holloman. I thought that he wanted to coach at The University of South Carolina. But, I am guessing that Pinewood Prep offered him a good amount of money to coach there plus his Kids will get free tuition there. I work in Summerville and Pinewood Prep just did major renovations to their Football Field and Athletic Facilities there. It looks really nice!!!! Devonte's Wife is from Beaufort and she might have wanted to get closer there.
