Re: Chesterfield at Ninety Six

I would love to see that region rematch in Wilson-Campbell so I could hear that awesome announcerGO GET 'EM CATS! wrote:Well, I'll have no problem pulling for the Panthers this Friday night. If we can both manage a win, that's another home game for us. I'm sure that would be a packed house for the rematch of the season. But we have to do our part first and win against Chesterfield. GO GET 'EM CATS! GO GET 'EM PANTHERS!

There is an ugly part of football that you hate to see and tonight was one of those times. #3 Dillon Rivers, The senior QB that has lead his Ram teammates to many wins and passing for over 10,000 yards in his carrier was not able to play in his final game due to an injury. He did however try to make an appearance throwing a pick six to #20 and realizing his injury was to serious for him to contend as the warrior he evidently was and is. I wish him all the success he deserves and may his talent take him well into the next level.
96 also saw a similar side of the ugly when #20 went down and was unable to return. This is one Kid that I personally think is a one man high light real for 96 football on both sides of the ball and would hate to see him not be able to play in his last game. Like I said its an ugly part of the game and it is what it is.
Now as for the game. #7 for 96 played an awesome football game. Several big runs and one was in open field where he trucks the defender and scampers for a TD. His passes were dead on and even one that was dropped dead in the hands that would have resulted in big yardage. Tonight, he proved he is THE MAN for the job.
It may have been a totally different game with C's #3 in the game but the Ram's still had plenty of talent on the field. However, the Wildcats remain undefeated at Wilson-Campbell stadium this season and will take their TEAM to Chesnee next week for what should be an awesome matchup.
Congratulations Wildcats, Keep it up!

Sadly, I must say, I doubt they bring more than 100 fans. Folks were filling the stands when they were winning all the time. That didn't last long. These kids still deserve the support of the community. They don't have it!

Well I hate this to be my first official post on the SCPREPTALK board but I must defend the Ram faithful with tongue in cheek. Most of the faithful are still backing the Rams, just with not as much cash flow. The home stands are generally full and in most cases they fill other chesterfield stadiums before their fans decide to come to the game. Back when we were winning which is and has been since 05, the fans from all over the county and state came to first watch TANNEYHILL then the greatest show on grass as it was called. A system which passed the ball and Frisbee catching dogs as receivers. Boy those were the days.
There is from what I have been told a very good group of players in the system and the rams will just need to tweak a few things, shed some dead weight and recommit to a program of excellence.
