Maniac; the problem is South Pointe isn't always blessed with the OL needed to run more power-type offense. Same thing I tell people about "my" Panthers and "my" Clemson Tigers - if the QB is on his back or has a hand in his face or doesn't have time to set his feet I don't care how good they are! Same goes for a RB if they are getting hit in the backfield.Maniac wrote: ↑Fri Apr 08, 2022 2:48 pmVery interesting hire and not in a good way. He is coming in at a great time. Nevertheless, the offense shouldn’t be the big issue. Stopping a possible train of transfers will be the issue. Slowing down the game on offense and riding a strong defense won’t be a bad strategy for South Pointe and may be a sustainable formula for success ie Bobby Carroll. They will have to pass more of coarse, than Collins is used to, but having a strong running attack favors South Pointe too.
We'll see!
I thought Collins left Lancaster "too early"! They were close when he was there and I kind of feel like he bailed.
Marlboro County is a place "you should be able to win at"! No lack of athletes or support in that town. Very concerning hire as you said, "especially if he is stubborn and hasn't said, hey my record reflects I may need to change my strategy"!
By virtue of the fact he has bounced around; I think he likely thinks "he's better than he is and just needs the talent to prove it"! Well, he will have the talent now! "It will be put up or shut up time for him; hopefully he's flexible in his thinking"!
