Well Lavonia is in the books and the race didn't disappoint like most thought it would due to the high temps with temps in the 90's today. The track stayed very racy and the woo boys put on a helluva show. Brandon Sheppard set fast time tonight with a 15.296 time in qualifying. The heat race winners were Brandon Sheppard Chase Junghans Ross Bailes and Shane Clanton all transferred to the A Main with Sheppard and Junghans going to the redraw in heat 1, Heat 2 Ricky Weiss Scott Bloomquist Darrell Lanigan and Kenny COllins would transfer with Weiss and Bloomquist going to the redraw. Heat 3 winner Brandon Overton Madden Dennis Erb Jr and Travis Pennington would transfer with Overton and Madden going to the redraw.

The redraw would see Madden going last get the pole followed by Sheppard Bloomquist Weiss Overton and Junghans. The top 6 were are now decided and the race would go green after the 4 wide salute and man Madden would start and get the lead and would be challenged by SHeppard at first and then as the race went on Sheppard would lose ground back to 4th and then the Voo Doo Child would come along and make a charge to the front and would challenge for the lead along with Overton. With 10 you could throw a blanket on the top 4 cars as they would battle and try and wrestle the lead away from Madden but to no avail. With 5 to go they woul go 3 wide atleast 2 times to try and take the lead away with Madden on the bottom Bloomquist in the middle and Overton on the high side. Madden would win and this race has to be a candidate for race of the year.

Now we move onto Cherokee for the Mike Duval Memorial race

Well Friday night the Woo boys came to Cherokee and they put on a pretty good show considering it was 95 degrees and the track went to one lane about 10 laps into the main event. The track was dusty and was had to pass on but that is dirt track racing and when it is 95 degrees and you have 120 cars in 6 divisions running on the track there ain't a whole lot you can do and the racing was good don't get me wrong but when the dust settle it saw Brandon Overton claim the 10K prize and walk out with the inaugural Mike Duvall Memorial

Saturday night the woo series went to 411 Speedway and the racing was good and saw Overton get the win again in back to back nights
