If you do your research, you would see Porter is clearly better than Liner. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that out.MrFootball68 wrote:Be careful what you wish for......................................................................................

If you're looking just at wins and losses, yes.StateChampsGHS wrote:If you do your research, you would see Porter is clearly better than Liner. Porter also burns a lot of bridges.

At schools with no true football tradition and not much of a promising career. Coaching football in Greenville county isn't all that great. Which it seems most folks in this thread don't understand. The pay or the football support. This is a dream career for him. It's time for Greenwood to break the mold some. Politics can't always be at play.No Fly Zone wrote:If you're looking just at wins and losses, yes.StateChampsGHS wrote:If you do your research, you would see Porter is clearly better than Liner. Re: Greenwood
So I looked back at Hillcrest roster from 2014 when they won 5A state. Every one of their playmakers aside from about 3 were about 5'6 between 160-170 pounds. The QB and their primary WR were 6 feet even. They had a linebacker/wildcat running back about 6'2 250. That's it. Those were some small kids beating the snot out of teams. Teams almost twice their size. Imagine what he could do with Greenwoods players.eagle93 wrote:At schools with no true football tradition and not much of a promising career. They can't see this. We don't have athletes running around Simpsonville like Greenwood does.GwoodEagle2k1 wrote:So I looked back at Hillcrest roster from 2014 when they won 5A state. From everything I can gather (and it's certainly not set in stone), Sparky wants Chris Liner and D50 wants Greg Porter.

Both WINNERS!
One is safe and one can be a loose cannon. BOTH will be successful.
