Won’t be surprised if Porter ends up in North Augusta. He was a target of the booster club the last time they hired a coach.

I heard from the North Augusta booster club that they want Pippin back.

Good article. For the folks that said this job doesn't pay that much because it was split from AD, look at this pay. It's up there.

wow, that's good money and no A.D. duties. Ya'll definitely have it going on down there. Could probably have just about any coach with that pay!

They've always paid the head football coaches handsomely, but they were also the AD too. I think he still has to teach also.

A teacher in SC with a master's and 20+ years can get at least $60K. Add the HC supplemental pay onto that and that salary will be excellent.

Dubose is only making about $5K less with far less pressure to win. Interesting.

Also very interesting to see that both of McMahon's guys (Deal and Harper) didn't get the job. He desperately wanted one of his guys (friends) in there so he could keep getting away with doing close to nothing. I bet this will be his last year at Emerald. The district clearly doesn't value his opinion. Harper is one of Mac's closest allies in the coaching world - surely looked to hire an old buddy to protect his son.
