Emerald had a coach that was in Phoenix Place, Country Homes, and the mill villages pulling those kids in. When he left, that program fell apart.

I guess you're right. Hoot might be the only role model willing to go down there now, which is a huge concern if you're paying attention to what's happening in the streets of Greenwood.

If these coaches don't get into their community, they won't win big. You need those kids to win in the playoffs.

Liner has hired some guys willing to go in there and do it. Mostly past players. Hoot is also a past player and his brother Cliff has also been asked to join in the efforts at Greenwood.

Smart moves by Liner if they buy in.
