Well I think it's awesome that Hillcrest has come on this year in a big way. I hate that I missed seeing you guys play. Gotta be honest, I took off to Rock Hill that week to watch the Byrnes/Northwestern game. I just assumed the Hillcrest/Dorman game would be a blowout but I was wrong about that for sure. Won't make that mistake the next time we play.
As far as any sour grapes over the Dorman game, well you'll have that. We've all been robbed before. Dorman literally got screwed out of the playoffs a while back on a blatantly dishonest ref call. Dave Pickren himself can tell you all about that one. Summerville got boned this year in the FD game and Byrnes has had a loss or two caused by bad refs.
Complaining about it is a line that you walk. Claiming you really won a game but for ref calls doesn't generally go over well with most fans, neutral or not though it's not as bad as complaining about calls in a game you won. Most of us will complain about bad calls from week to week but stop short of blaming the outcome of the game on calls. It is true that some fanbases have gotten a reputation as whiners whether deserved or not.
I promise you that you will have games go your way with bad calls so that stuff evens out. If you ask BYRNES#1, he will tell you that the refs are always gonna try and help a team beat Byrnes.
Anyway, it's great to have a new fanbase joining in. Best of luck Friday!! A lot of fans around the state are going to be pulling for you folks this post season, especially if you go up against Byrnes.
