The game went about how I felt like it would. Tight through the first half with Greenwood pulling away late. Long ride away and first game jitters is why I felt that way. And I knew Beaufort is a team that fights hard and has talent. Greenwood was in the red zone many times in the first half, but penalties(some legit, some definitely questionable) negated those from becoming points. I was sad to see a Beaufort receiver go down early. Looked like he rolled his ankle. BEF will have to give us a report on that when he sees this. The Greenwood receivers played decent, but I'm really wanting to see how they look when Desiray Christian is out there, whom is only a freshman receiver; but already has a D1 offer. He had what I think is an ankle injury during the scrimmage at Gaffney. Greenwood has some things to clean up before Dorman comes in, but it was nice to get a win so the players can build some confidence going into this one. I wish Beaufort luck with the rest of their season. They are a talented bunch.

Thanks so much, GwoodEagle2k1! I hated to see our star WR get hurt on the 1st series of the game. I wish him a speedy recovery! It was a great game to watch even though the final score doesn't show it. It was close all the way until late in the 3rd quarter. Those 4 turnovers really hurt My Eagles. Greenwood has a good team and I think that they will have their best team in years. Good luck to them the rest of the season!

Thanks so much for your input on this game and the nice comments on Beaufort eagle93! I really hope that our good WR Amare Patterson will be OK. I haven't heard anything on him as of yet. Your Greenwood Eagles have a good team. It was a pretty fun game to watch. Even though the outcome wasn't what I wanted. Good luck to Greenwood the rest of their season!
