Thanks to everyone who get this info together.....Pretty crazy that a 3A playoff game could factor into the D1 Playoffs....if I read you guys correctly you are saying the CC thing "COULD" push Spartan High into the D1 bracket.....looks like that might push Dorman into the UPPER BRACKET....avoiding Byrnes AND Dutch Fork more than likely.....sorry if I am offending anyone in the lower state....just don't know how good FD is....I have seen both Byrnes, Dorman, Dutch Fork. Pretty strong.....if all 3 of those guys are in the same bracket that is pretty brutal.............

Yes, it makes a huge difference in seeding as all the #1 from each region are seeded, then #2, the all the rest. Let me look at the numbers...

Basically, NA would take the spot I show now as River Bluff in the bracket.

That can get convoluted because other results will have opposing impacts. (help here, hurt there)

The simple is to pull against the 3A schools that Colleton County played. (Updated)

I will give a more detailed answer when I have time.

Good Luck to your Spartanburg Vikings.

Thanks R-F-74. Can I assume River Bluff would still be the opponent . I prefer to see teams I haven't seen before even though it would probably give us more incentive if we have to play them again . Your help and info is greatly appreciated.

Right, oddly enough, opponents in a team's own region won't move the needle at all once region play begins. One of them is going to lose and one of them is going to win. It's the non-region opponents that make meaningful contributions to a team's opponent wins/losses totals. :? :ugeek:

No, River Bluff would be at Basketball Practice.... with the AA games, their points would not qualify them for an AT LARGE berth.

I'm going to say you would be hosting Cane Bay if the only game I change is Irmo beating River Bluff

Guess I should pull for Irmo if this will give us a home game. I don't think I have ever pulled for them but go Irmo Yellow Jackets. Either way at least NA makes the playoffs as long as they can beat South Aiken.

Is Cane Bay a lock to be in the playoffs?

Cane Bay is in good shape but I wouldn't say they are a LOCK.

If Cane Bay wins and Wando loses - (33.5 pts) Cane Bay should get an automatic berth for 3rd place in Region (LOCK)

If Cane Bay wins and Wando wins - (34 pts) Wando gets 3rd place in Region, no automatic bid
---but Cane Bay gains extra +0.5 point (should be a LOCK)

If Cane Bay loses and Wando wins - (33 pts) No automatic bid but I think you would be in good shape especially since your opponent wins category would be high compared to other teams (no guarantees)

If Cane Bay loses and Wando loses - (32.5 pts)- Danger Zone - you still have a chance to make it but
--"IF" too many low point teams get automatic Region Bids, you could be in trouble

Some low point teams that can get automatic bids:
Irmo, River Bluff, Greenville, (i'll check for some others and update)
