Anybody that has seen TL Hanna play.... knows that is possible.

That was going to be my first adjustment to the D2 bracket.
Just haven't had time to post it yet.
I informed SF Band dad last night, if South Florence ends up as the #15 seed.
It will probably result in a trip to the Electric City.
Week 11 will likely determine which Anderson team they will play.

If both teams hold serve this week, the Westside-TL Hanna game in week 11 will be HUGE.
One of the better defenses in the State vs. one of the better offenses in the state.
Region 1 title will be on the line, and most likely the #2 seed in the D2 bracket.

Westside would likely only fall to #2 in Region with a loss.
TL Hanna could fall to #4 in Region with a loss, depending on the outcome of the Hillcrest's final two games.
Potential 3-way tie for 2nd between Hillcrest, Laurens, and TL Hanna.
Hillcrest would have the point advantage for 2nd place.

I'll post what that Bracket looks like later....

Balance? Are you reading the same brackets I am?????? :o
Yes, actually. I would say pretty balanced compared to some brackets I've seen. You have Byrnes, Northwestern, and Dorman on one side. 3 or more years ago you'd have said the bracket was lopsided. For that matter 3 or 4 years ago, Gaffney being on the same side would make it a monster. But this isn't then, it is now. On the other side you have one of the most highly ranked Fort D teams vying for the #1 seed, you have Dutch Fork which has made the trip to Columbia 3 years in a row, winning one of those titles, and knocking Byrnes out of the playoffs the last two years. And finally you have the defending state champion in Hillcrest. Not a traditionally balanced bracket but upon more reflection, it's more balanced than it first appears.

I changed 2 results from the initial projection that I posted in this topic.
Fort Mill beats Gaffney
Dutch Fork beats Westwood
And this is the outcome.......

Fort D, Dutch Fork, and Northwestern all tied for 1st in points.
Northwestern came in 3rd due to having less opponent wins.
Fort D and DF tied in Opponent Wins, but Fort D gets them on opponent losses.
Gaffney and Northwestern playing twice in a three week span. I think I like the bracket you posted before this one better.

I saw one projection had North Augusta playing York. How does NA get into the playoffs? They will have a hard time winning even one of their last two, probably leaving them in last place in their region.

North Augusta plays Irmo and South Aiken in their last two games.

If North Augusta goes 1-1 in those two games. Lose to Irmo, Beat South Aiken.
The 33 points that I have you projected to have, this would put you into the playoffs.
(somewhere around a 12 seed)

If you go 0-2 down the stretch.
You would have around 32 points and you might not make the playoffs. Borderline.
Several teams could be at this number. Opponent wins could determine which team makes it in.

If you go 2-0, I think you could get an automatic bid from Region 5.
(somewhere around a 11 seed)

West Ashley should be in the #3 spot out of region 7 .
They whipped Stratford in the head to head game.
And Bluffton I don't think has the size to hang with the wave (reqardless of whom the O.C is)

Here is the bracket with West Ashley winning out.
I adjusted the initial bracket that I posted and just changed West Ashley to win their last two games.
