And I promise you will never win another Championship because the talent doesn’t exists anymore to compete against the Dutch Forks, Gaffneys and so on. I have watched your talent and travel to other schools throughout the state. You have a better chance in AAAA than in AAAAA. FACT!!!

You will see when we hire a championship style coach. Don't be a ghost when that time comes.

I would also like to remind you that Greenwood has never won a State Championship since the Big 16 Era or Big AAAA Little AAAA Era. You have never competed for a Championship against a Byrnes, Dutch Fork, Dorman, Fort Dorchester or Summerville since those Era’s began!

We have beaten those teams in Divison 2 4A before. I guess you don't know about the Greenwood tradition at all.

The new coach will not lose to Laurens, Easley and Woodmont for sure.

Those teams were always good and we were competitive just like them.

They beat Dorman in 2000 and that was your Big 16 champion. They played with anyone. In 2012 they beat everyone on their schedule including Dorman and Spartanburg who were both Big 16. We've always competed regardless of who we played. Even if they didn't win every game they competed. The non region was always loaded with these teams for a purpose.

I lived in Greenwood for many years and know both Shell and Gene. I knew Pinky back in the 70’s and 80’s before I moved away to Augusta. I have followed Greenwood football for probably longer than you have been around. I still have family there too. So, don’t try to con me when you haven’t beaten these teams in the playoffs when it counted. No championships in the Big 16 or in the Big AAAA! It has been a new culture that even a new coach can’t fix if you don’t have the talent. A Volkswagen will not beat a Porsche in a race!

At least we competed. We'll see. Leave it at that.

Your living in the past! Look around you at the number of schools that are playing football now compared to then. Plus in 2000 you only had one high school. Think of how good Greenwood would be if the talent pool between Emerald and Greenwood were combined. Then you might have a chance to be competitive again. Imagine if Gage Cervenka had played at Greenwood. You have lost players like that to Emerald. These were the heart and soul of Greenwood once upon a time. Sorry if you don’t agree with me but if I were trying to evaluate if I wanted to come to Greenwood I would wait to see where to New realignment placed them first.
