Re: Valdosta High(GA) hires controversial Rush Propst as coach
Folks, the article about Valdosta was simply to inform that they have the most wins of all the high school football teams in the history of high school football so far. Doesn't mean they're the best. However, you gotta be somewhat decent for your program to have that type of long term success. Coach Babb has more wins than any other Greenwood head coach. Does that mean he's the best Greenwood coach ever? Maybe it does, maybe it doesn't. I haven't been around long enough to answer that. You'd have to ask some of the older Greenwood guys. Pinky Babb has had the longest stent as a Greenwood head coach so that's also a factor. Just like Valdosta has probably been around longer than a lot of high school programs.

Who'd he play?
At the end of the day, Valdosta was a big fish in a very small pond. Interpret anyway you want

If georgia hs football is a very small pond, then SC hs football is a very small creek lol. Regardless, they still have more wins than any other hs football team in the country. Can't take that away from them. I wish my school had that many wins.Colbyc36 wrote: ↑Fri Apr 17, 2020 4:28 pmVarner?GwoodEagle2k1 wrote: ↑Fri Apr 17, 2020 3:13 pmFolks, the article about Valdosta was simply to inform that they have the most wins of all the high school football teams in the history of high school football so far. I will ask again. How do they stack up on the out of state scene? Simple question....
Wanna compare? Love the creek reference.

Regardless of how they compare, it still doesn't change the amount of wins they have.Colbyc36 wrote: ↑Fri Apr 17, 2020 5:20 pmGwoodEagle2k1 wrote: ↑Fri Apr 17, 2020 5:06 pmIf georgia hs football is a very small pond, then SC hs football is a very small creek lol. Yeah unfortunately I remember that play slick lol. Y'all averaged over 40 points a game that year. You see it as "confirmed".....I see it as "corrected". You won't change my mind, I won't change yours. It is what it is.
Congrats to Lowndes for scheduling an out of state historical power house. Let's see if the "ALMIGHTY" Valdosta will follow suit. I doubt it.
