Hey Colby, Doc Brown called and wants his DeLorean back. I bet you wish DF had ducked the Rebels, huh? Oddly, none of those teams you recalled from way back when, play for a SC state title, do they....come on McFly....back to the present....Relevance in the state title picture...like Dorman, Hanna, Fort D, even Boiling Springs...something the Rebels can't claim in the past decade. Foxes have won 6 in the past 8 years... you need to stop dwelling on ancient history. Colby, I worry about you.
Sad, really. I actually feel sorry for you, truly. It's okay, though...it's just a kids game after all.

I have nothing against Byrnes but what does having all them out of state games got to do with now. Byrnes lost to Louisiana team 21-12 lost to St Thomas 42-34 lost to the California team 56-28 lost. Beat glades central muck team that wasn’t even in the top 5 in Florida but for espn sake got got a national ranking. Almost lost to a non ranked Ohio team at the herby and also barley beat a centerville Ohio team. Montgomery bell wasn’t very good. Not bad showing but Byrnes really choked. 2005 team was definitely good but that was 16 years ago.

Its meant to adress homeboys claim that DF is in "everybody's" top 15 in the nation. It wont happen until they play teams from outside the small pond. Which, again, wont happen. Knotts will see to it.

I aint saying we won them all. I know the scores, the end results. I am saying we went out and played traditional powerhouses. Hoover, St. Thomas, De LaSalle, Boscoe.

That’s probably true in order to receive a favorable national ranking. A national ranking looks good to the fans and sportswriters ands usually just for show smoke and mirrors to get the publicity. Traditional teams like mentioned above will always get the benefit of the doubt.

Byrnes definitely put South Carolina on the map nationally with the way Bobby Bentley designed his offense. It literally destroyed most South Carolina teams when he first introduced it.

Nothing from 8 years ago will help this team win this year.

Both of you are doing the same thing. Football is a "CURRENT EVENT" sport and not a "HISTORY" sport. Both schools have a lot to be proud of; however, neither team can rely on what "has happened" to help them in 2021. Those players are gone! Come December, maybe neither one of you will have a state title. It could be a team that hasn't even been talked about that much.... one of the best things about high school football.
