They big enough and fast enough to overcome all them penalties that’s pretty dang good. Hope Myrtle Beach gets a chance that will be a packed house at Daug Shaw Stadium. Nice Win Patriots Congratulations well deserved.

Talking about the Fort D penalties!

Yes sir Fort D is pretty darn good.

Good doesn't win Championships in AAAAA or Fort would have won several. You have to be GREAT to get past Dutch Fork and can't afford to make the mistakes that they continue to make over the past many years since their last championship. They have made an attempt this year to play a tougher schedule to improve their readiness. They always have the talent but you can't just be big and fast all the time, you have to play smart. There are other teams that can play bully with you like Gaffney, Dutch Fork, Byrnes, Hanna, and Sumter along with others that have good big to great talent and coaching. One fact remains no one has found a way to out scheme or beat the discipline of Tom Knotts! Until they learn to cut out the mistakes that I and others have mentioned in previous posts Fort and other AAAAA team's records will remain in the pile of sweaty towels and socks, and jockstraps of their defeated opponents. FACT!!

Penalties can be corrected. First game i expect it. On offense it was very few. All can be cleaned up. The assignment football is there especially when CF ran an option play. They took out the dive, the qb and made the play on the rb for a loss. Also #5. For them is slippery. Cf has a big oline. He hide behind them.

Really i think we had 1 personal foul for behavioral.
We had a late hit that was well bs.
3 or 4 face masks only one shoukda been 15 ydr as the one for CF shouldnt have been a 15 ydr either .

We can clean up some things .

How many times can you step in the endzone on thr kick off and not get a touchback . Cf would have benefit from a few of those .
Our penalties was thier best offensive weapon .they litterally had 50 yds on one drive .
We have to cut the peanalties out it was either 80 or 100 yds in the 1st half.

The truth about this game is both teams moved the football down the field. Carolina Forest fumbled the ball away on the opening drive after a good play. Forced fumble I think but it hurt the Panthers and set Fort Dorchester up with a short field to score. The Panthers could not stop the Patriots and get their offense off the field. Fort D got hit with face mask off sides and unsportsmanlike penalty that was the result of aggressiveness. It was all due to being aggravated by CF moving the football. That can be corrected.
CF had a good game plan on offense and moved the ball pretty well on drives but a few delay of game penalties moved them back twice causing them to punt the ball.
Then the Patriots would score so once they got ahead that was pretty much it. CF couldn’t keep up. Especially after the bad snap they fumbled into the end zone in the third quarter giving Fort a two point safety and the ball.

The game just got out of reach. You can’t have a proper shootout if you can’t stop the other team. The Patriots held onto the ball they don’t turn it over much. CF lost to a much better team their is no shame for them. They played with heart.
