I am:
58 years old

Did you graduate from the school you are known for here on the site?
No, Pickens County native (family originally from The Dutch Fork), family has lived in Dutch Fork area for past 22 years. 3 sons all graduated from Dutch Fork where they played football and wrestled (rasslun' for anyone from Pickens/Oconee or Slick)

Did you serve on Active Duty?
Yes, 22 years US Army as an Infantry Officer and Special Operations Command- last active duty assignments were at Fort Bragg NC with 5-73 RSTA 82nd ABN, and USASOC HQ working with 5th Group, 10th Group and 96th CA in Iraq. Veteran of Operation Just Cause, Operation Desert Storm, Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom. Assignments with 5th Infantry Division, 1st Cavalry Division, 2nd Infantry Division, 82nd Airborne Division, US Army Special Operations Command (USASOC), US Army Infantry School (working with the Airborne School and Ranger School), US Army JFK Special Warfare Center & School and US Army Desert Warfare Training Center.

Your turn, tell us anything else we need to know:
Grew up on a family farm in Pickens County. Undergraduate work at The Citadel, graduate work at College of Charleston and US Army Command and General Staff College. After the Army, worked with Department of Defense and Department of State living abroad for almost 12 years primarily in Iraq (2 years) and Afghanistan (8 years), but also worked in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Jordan and UAE- working counter-terrorism/counter-insurgency, narcotics interdiction, and diplomatic operations. Back in SC now. I have a granddaughter I need to spoil. Split my time between Dutch Fork area, Pickens area and Caesars Head.
All those years living and working in kinetic environs....depended on these boards and guys like JB and Slick to keep me sane...in hindsight not the best plan, actually...lol

I am:

34

Did you graduate from the school you are known for here on the site?

Yep. Sumter High class of 2005

Did you serve on Active Duty?

Nope. Didn’t have the heart. Decided to go to USC.

Your turn, tell us anything else we need to know:

I’m still salty about the 2003 state title game against Gaffney.

Though I’m just 34 it seems like I’ve been posting here (and on a previous board) for quite some time.
