Re: LET'S ALL GET BEHIND THIS
Week 3 of Seans rest time, he is to be mried on tuesday the 13th for a look at how the tumor has changed with all the radiation and chemo. He is starting to get some home rehad on his weakened right side and sees some positive results. He is also trying to adjust to the optune hat, really is just electrodes stuck to his head to help stop the tumor for growing anymore and so far, the first one has malfunctioned and another one is on today, its a lot about getting used to it and has a battery pack in a bag to carry with it, its not natural for a man to carry a bag on his shoulder, so we will see. we hope the progress of this aggressive tumor has slowed and hope to keep it at bay. His emotions are still all over, he claims the tumor causes the ranges of emotions and its not necessary him feeling bad, so its a miserable journey but the fight continues one day at a time. we need yalls hopes, prayers, and financial support as always, we have bar-b-ques, donations, card sales, and even his 1990 class of Berkeley are selling bumper stickers to help with the many costs of this cancer battle at 49 years old, us older people at least have a medicare back-up to help. wish I had better news but he is still here and giving his all, thanks for yalls help, love yall, slick

Re: LET'S ALL GET BEHIND THIS
This week has been a challenge for Sean. He started physical and occupational therapy for his right hand and leg. The weakness on Sean's right side is a direct effect of the placement of his brain tumor.
Also this week, Sean started the OPTUNE cap treatment. I have attached pictures of these huge bandaid-like sheets of electrodes and where they are placed. There are 4 adhesive sheets that cover Sean's whole head. The four electrical wires that are attached to the rows of electrodes from the 4 adhesive sheet are collected, twisted together and eventually plugged in to a machine that Sean will carry like a purse.
During the day, the machine can operate off of a huge battery. This allows Sean some free movement. There are 3 back up batteries. Each battery carries a 3 to 4 hour charge. During the night, Sean plugs the machine into a wall outlet. Yes, Sean has to sleep in this cap attached to the machine.
The adhesive sheets stay on for 4 days. When they are removed, his head is shaved again and fresh electrodes sheets applied; and 4 days begin again. The machine will run 18 to 24 hours a day.
The OPTUNE cap does not reduce the tumor. Its aim is to keep it from replicating. This treatment has been the hardest one for Sean to accept, yet.
Something else that some people may not realize- because Sean's tumor is in his brain there has been a personality change. He no longer laughs; he cries. He no longer understands what is owed or what is paid but worries about it, all even though his wife, melanie repeatly assures him it is all good. This conversation is repeated over and over. Nothing is resonable. Sean no longer can comprehend what he once did.
When you pray please pray for Melanie to have the strength that it will take to carry on; also for her to find comfort.
Please continue to pray for Sean's healing- that can only come from God.
Thank you for listening to me all these times and always for your continuous prayers.

Re: LET'S ALL GET BEHIND THIS
Dear Rose and the classmates of Berkeley class of 1990, I am Sean’s daddy and appreciate all the help to fight his cancer challenges with support, donations, and prayers for this terrible disease. I witness it every day and his courage to do what he can to overcome this beast, that has stolen his mind and slowed his movements and stolen his ability to use his hand. Even this morning, he went from hope, to fears, to tears. He is all over with his mind being attacked by such a vicious cancer. He has days that he can’t do much and the spare time works against his spirit. So, I pray he finds his peace and his progress will be positive on Tuesday with a scan of his head. Thanks again from the family, we love you, the great class of 1990, and we know we will always have the great stag’s nation behind us and Sean with this cancer. Think about when you pick up a cell phone, hook up to an iPad or computer, that they are harming our brains. Sean gave his whole life to this form of cancer, both working and playing. Beware of 5G and its harmful strength to harm your brain. I see more and more people being affected by these waves emitted from the electronic mind traps and who are every bit addictive as a cigarette or a drug. I salute my stags family, thank you from his mama, sister, and me.

Re: LET'S ALL GET BEHIND THIS
This is Sean's week to find out if all the radiation and chemo pills for 30 treatments has slowed the cancer and hopefully even reduced it too. He goes for an MRI on Tuesday early and we hope he has made progress in his fight. He will see all his doctors that day, so it will be trying day for Sean. So far he has not had a lot of good news if would be wonderful to find his fight has reduced or defeated the beast, its always baby steps and hope and fear too. He deserves a much better life than this. He wishes he could tell you all his thanks for all yall's efforts for him. yet he fears not being able to communicate his thoughts in person. So help us keep the fight going and hopefully by Wednesday we will have some positive news. Thanks for all you do.. thanks, slick

Re: LET'S ALL GET BEHIND THIS
well, today, Sean had a good day and but he is worried about tomorrow, such a hard day for him, mri, and meeting all the doctors and leaving the corner at 630, such a early time too. we hope it all works and will be positive for his health, he certainly has a bunch of people pulling for him and us. so we start a new drive for him and hope it is a good diagnosis and the fight continues to survive and thrive, please say a little prayer for him in the morning. thanks form us all for the help and all the cancer warriors with us.

Re: LET'S ALL GET BEHIND THIS
The MRI showed that the tumor has grown very little. I am very thankful for this. This proves that the radiation and chemo did its job.
This next stage will be 5 days of a stronger chemo and 23 days off. Blood work on the day 21 & 27 and then meeting with oncologist. On the end of the second 28 day cycle, there will be a MRI and meeting with the oncologist. There is no plan to repeat radiation at this time. Sean will continue with the OPTUNE cap.
Please continue to lift Sean up in your prayers. Thank you.
