I'll do my best to answer that, as always anybody is welcome to add anything if I leave something out or goof something up. 8-)

1. If Gaffney wins I don't believe that Fort D could get a better seed.
If you both win:
Gaffney: 35 max pts - around 60 opponent wins estimated
Fort D: 35 max pts - around 43 opponent wins estimated (markoffs likely Stratford and Beaufort, they lose 17 opp. wins)
(Fort D getting to 35 pts requires that West Ashley get to "6" wins by beating Cane Bay, otherwise they would have 34.5)

I think Gaffney would have to lose for Fort D to be seeded better.

2. Gaffney won't be seeded better than these teams. (No particular order)
-Byrnes, Dutch Fork, Hillcrest, Summerville, Spring Valley (5 teams)
-Gaffney's best possible seed is #6.

How does Gaffney get to #6? (1st and foremost-Win)...next..
*I'm beginning to feel like this game is in the answer to every question.*
Pay attention to the outcome of the Dutch Fork at North Augusta game. Déjà vu. :o

-If North Augusta beats Dutch Fork (Gaffney will be a #6 seed)

-If Dutch Fork beats North Augusta, and Lexington beats White Knoll (Gaffney will be a #7 seed)

-If Dutch Fork beats North Augusta, and White Knoll beats Lexington (Gaffney will be a #6 seed)

The exception to these rules- If "Stratford" is somehow taken by the D1 bracket, they also will be seeded better than Gaffney.
So add (+1) to each of the possible seeds given.

Exactly right! Don't look ahead, play the team that's lined-up against you this week.

What scenario(s) would put Stratford in the D1 bracket?

Ashley Ridge would have to get eliminated(I think). Looks like they'd have to lose and Woodmont or Hanna would need a lot of help. Everyone else in D.1 seems pretty locked in unless we have some sort of crazy SCHSL drama again.

What scenario(s) would put Stratford in the D1 bracket?

It could happen, but it would take several results to fall into place, but it mainly involves the cut off line for at large being 32.5 and not 32.0 points. The first thing that MUST HAPPEN is Woodmont beating Hillcrest and Fort Mill beating Nation Ford and Ashely Ridge losing to Fort Dorchester, which would eliminate Rock Hill from the playoffs and put Stratford in Division One.

Woodmont would get to 33.0 points while with a loss to Fort D, Ashley Ridge is at 32.5 points and 59 wins while Rock Hill would be at 32.5 and 52 wins while Fort Mill would climb to 32.5 and 54 wins....leaving Rock Hill as the odd man out.

There may be other ways for it to happen, but this is the one that I managed to come up with....

Not to rain on your parade but if the bracket is right and South Pointe is the #6 seed, South Florence will not advance past the 2nd round. South Pointe is a better team. If South Florence does avoid playing South Pointe and makes it to Northwestern, then the game will be anything but interesting, Northwestern would win by 17 or more. South Florence just does not have the athletes to match-up for 4 quarters. NW is better at QB, WR, OL, DL, LB, DB, and special teams. Not too mention NW has better coaches and South Florence would be on the road. South Florence should hope for that 4th seed, you guys have a better shot at GC than NW. Again, you won't beat GC either, but they seem to be weaker on defense than NW. Either way, S. Florence won't get past either of those teams. NW is heads above everyone in D2, and GC is heads and shoulders above everyone else in D2.

Just to give you an idea of the possibilities and why you see different "PROJECTIONS" I took a few minutes to map out what effect three games have on the brackets for some of my co-workers during lunch.

KEEP IN MIND, THERE ARE 26 GAMES TO GO AND AT LEAST 19 OF THOSE GAMES HAVE SOME IMPACT ON THE BRACKETS AS WELL AS AT LEAST ONE BIG MATCH UP IN AAA.

And I only looked at THREE GAMES: click on images to enlarge...

I believe it's impossible for that to happen the D1 side is for all intensive purposes locked in

Look at Reb's projections in the other thread.

Wow... Some pretty bold predications there... Can't wait to see how this turns out, hope you don't have to eat too much crow...
