I'll do my best to answer that, as always anybody is welcome to add anything if I leave something out or goof something up.Chief Whoa wrote:If Fort Dorchester jumps back to the #2 line is there any way they could pass Gaffney? My question I guess is is there any scenario where if Gaffney wins this week that they could still fall in seeding?

1. If Gaffney wins I don't believe that Fort D could get a better seed.
If you both win:
Gaffney: 35 max pts - around 60 opponent wins estimated
Fort D: 35 max pts - around 43 opponent wins estimated (markoffs likely Stratford and Beaufort, they lose 17 opp. wins)
(Fort D getting to 35 pts requires that West Ashley get to "6" wins by beating Cane Bay, otherwise they would have 34.5)
I think Gaffney would have to lose for Fort D to be seeded better.
2. Gaffney won't be seeded better than these teams. (No particular order)
-Byrnes, Dutch Fork, Hillcrest, Summerville, Spring Valley (5 teams)
-Gaffney's best possible seed is #6.
How does Gaffney get to #6? (1st and foremost-Win)...next..
*I'm beginning to feel like this game is in the answer to every question.*
Pay attention to the outcome of the Dutch Fork at North Augusta game. Déjà vu.

-If North Augusta beats Dutch Fork (Gaffney will be a #6 seed)
-If Dutch Fork beats North Augusta, and Lexington beats White Knoll (Gaffney will be a #7 seed)
-If Dutch Fork beats North Augusta, and White Knoll beats Lexington (Gaffney will be a #6 seed)
The exception to these rules- If "Stratford" is somehow taken by the D1 bracket, they also will be seeded better than Gaffney.
So add (+1) to each of the possible seeds given.
