Speaking of Vai....

Did you guys hear?

He just developed a new playing technique that he calls joint shifting. Supposed to be the largest leap in electric guitar since Eddie Van Halen started tapping.

In the middle of the tune he starts phrasing chords and bending different notes in different ways while still maintaining the chord fingering.

A casualty of Political Correctness...

Probably for the best. That show committed suicide before PC ever laid a hand on it.

NOT what I expected to hear the first time I ever bought a Steve Vai CD.

A super original artist.

Good stuff! Never heard this track before.

Sounds exactly like the beginning of this song...

I guess the only Grand Funk song I ever heard was off this famous double album...

HERE VAMP DEVIL

Ok SLICK, that was just disturbing.

I never did like Rick Rubin putting the solo to Tie Your Mother Down in this track. Complete dissonance for me.
And the solo for Stone Cold Crazy was equally silly. Should have brought Nuno Bettencourt in and let him lay down some tracks.

I'm fond of circus music too. Surprised that these guys are still above dirt.

Obviously, I'm a fan of the Cat Man.

Catfan, did you ever play the Psycho Circus video game?

That was a pretty good game. I made it all the way to about halfway through Gene’s adventure before I hit a wall and gave up. Put in a cheat code just to see the rest of the game which was pretty epic.

I didn’t know you liked to Rock, Cityslick. I know why the ladies like you now. That gal has some moves on her.
Am I the only one thinking that the only thing that’d make this video any better is if the instead of dancing with a dude she was dancing with another chick?

Another vid that’s hard not to watch (npi)

There are few albums I couldn’t wait to get my hands on that weren’t an anticipointment....

These first two tracks did not disappoint...

I saw them three nights in a row, Chapel Hill, Charlotte, and Columbia. Somehow I knew these would be the two songs they would open with and I wasn’t wrong.

Decav, that song by Grand Funk is perhaps my favorite from them. It was the lead song on their most famous album, maybe the most iconic album ever produced, "E Pluribus Funk" That was the album shaped like a coin. It was silver in color and the jacket was actually round. Watching Mark Farner play the Organ, lead Guitar, and do all of the vocals is simply amazing. Great Band who got way too little recognition in my book. Here is a Wiki on E. Pluribus Funk:

The "Godfather" didn't whine like The "Slobfather" is doing, when he got INDICTED!!!!!
