Agreed 100 percent. Reach out to everyone, not just your favorites. As for armchair QBs there sure are lots of them. Everybody can't be wrong though right? Stats and results don't lie. People aren't dumb, especially if they've been involved with the sport. Doesn't have to be a coach. It was too predictable. But we are passed that now.StateChampsGHS wrote:I don't think the merge will happen because too many factors play into that. You right, time has changed and kids are definitely not the same. At the end of the day, it's still our duty to reach out to kids and teach them so the can adopt to these new changes....And l mean all kids not just certain ones!!!Damefan wrote:Thanks for the endorsement but retired, traveling, and playing golf! I enjoy the humorous comments too much of some of the armchair QB’s that think they know better. Gives me my daily good laugh at some of the stupidity that is thought of. I will say that there are some great ideas out there and changes need to be made on some levels such as the merger of Emerald and GHS which I think will happen in time, but some folks need to get more realistic. Times have changed and these kids are not the same as you and or even I was back in the day. Electronics have ruined them!StateChampsGHS wrote:Hey Damefan, Pippin could probably use you overseas with Lazio football. Just a suggestion since you both think alike.
I hope you and your family have Merry Christmas and joyful day!

Re: Greenwood
Former Head Coach at West Mecklenburg for 3 years where he had been Defensive Coordinator 6 years prior to that. He had also coached Basketball there. He won their first Conference Championship in 2018 there and then left to go be the Defensive Coordinator at Northwestern (Record 9-4 2016, 8-4 2017, 9-3 2018 - Currently not listed on staff at Northwestern High website). He played football at Spartanburg in High School where he was on two State Championship teams and played in the 1995 Shrine Bowl. He was an All-American Free Safety at Fayetteville State.northside knight wrote:Who is Jarvis Davis? I'm sorry but Greenwood High football should be able to bring in a guy who's already won a state title. Not region or conference but STATE. Has Dan Pippin torn the program down so far that we can't even get that!?Damefan wrote:Former Head Coach at West Mecklenburg for 3 years where he had been Defensive Coordinator 6 years prior to that. We have state title guys who have applied. They just have to finish the interview process.ManigoEra wrote:I'm sorry but Greenwood High football should be able to bring in a guy who's already won a state title. That's good. Long as we hire a coach who has won a state title we'll be fine.eagle93 wrote:We have state title guys who have applied.
