96 in 2019 had 1 good athlete, maybe 2 and were not very good.
Sometimes it is hard to admit that talent just is not there.
Yeah, the talent just isn't there...especially if you look at other programs in the area.

Kentavius Williams (do it all QB for 96) and his little brother were probably the best athletes Ninety Six will have for the next 20 years. Sad to see the direction the younger one went in, because he was an outstanding skill player in football and point guard in basketball.

They live in Phoenix Place in Greenwood and were zoned to play at Emerald, but they used another address because they did not want to play for McMahon after one of his assistants left. He had their mom convinced to let them play, but he moved out of state for a college job.

If the talent isn't there how did they play for state for 3 years in a row? Politics took over the program in 2002 and the kids stopped coming out, and they still don't. The athletes are there.

True, but the evidence says otherwise in Ninety Six. Firing Brian Neal was a death blow to Ninety Six football. Since that happened there have been very few years where 96 has been able to field a middle school, high school and JV team, something that hasn't ever happened there.Even the park and rec teams have had a difficult time fielding teams, and there used to be 2 teams for each age group. This has NOTHING to do with talent but everything to do with kids losing interest in the sport. Politics can assassinate a football program quicker than anything else and that is exactly what has happened at 96, along with the "off the cliff" drop in the overall quality of the school district. It's no secret.

Show some clips of good teams putting real pressure on him. He would throw it right to them.

I mean I'm happy as all get out that we have Brian Neal as an assistant at Emerald, but there's got to be more than a few reasons why he isn't a head coach anywhere.

Valid point Spec. Why do you think the numbers fell off at every level almost immediately? I do agree that politics, admin and school boards can ruin a football program. Unfortunately, it happens in high schools around our state quite often.

LOL !!!! You call that a QB highlight film? That is clip after clip of a QB under no pressure throwing to wide open receivers against bottom feeders where the DB's are completely outclassed by the receivers. Show some clips of good teams putting real pressure on him. He would throw it right to them.
Ninety Six's receivers are not "outclassing" anybody.
