The national championship was decided in 92 just like it is today voted on by a bunch of reporters and others who think they know what is goin on with all the high schools in the nation. Yes they have won 900++++ games and you might be right about a big fish in a tiny pond but my question is if they are so good why haven't any teams from SC that are pretty damn good called them and tried to put them on the schedule I bet you money that would be a huge money maker for the gate and then you could see if they were actually that good or the big fish then

RC, it is possible that there have been negotiations in the past. We don't always hear what goes on behind the scenes. Sometimes, a big fish wants to stay in the pond.

That is true and I agree but I would love to see Byrnes Dorman and Gaffney get on them either on the schedule to play them at home or get them on the schedule to play down there I bet that would be freaking awesome

Agreed on all points RC. I would have even liked to see last year's Chapman team play them for that matter.

I just want to see the current teams play cause I know from 92 all the way up to now Gaffney would probably have walked the dog on them with a couple of years of and I know the Byrnes power houses from the 2000s to now would have killed them

I never said it was or thought it was. Georgia is definitely anything but a small pond. I would love to see some of the top teams from around here play some of the top teams from Georgia and just see where SC stacks up

You still ain't gettin' it. Go play teams from OH, FL, TX, CA. Then you will understand that term.
And to touch on what RC was saying earlier concerning how national championships we're determined back in 92, we didn't have the amount of interstate play like we do today. Today, we actually see some of the best teams from other states playing one another. Let Valdosta get out there and prove themselves.
It's a big scary world out there....past them GA borders.

I don't think its that big of a scary world so to speak. I mean are there good teams yes they are good teams all across the nation do I think it will come down to a true national title no I don't. I like the out of state games cause you get to see different teams play and I would like to see more of it but it comes down to state titles and that is what really matters
