I like the bracket with Gaffney going to Ashley Ridge and potentially meeting the Goose Creek Gators! IJS... what do we have to do as Indian fans to get that??? Who's game do we have to fix like the Mafia?

For that bracket:
The first thing you have to do is Lose to Northwestern....
You win and that bracket will change.

If (and that is a BIG if) Stratford beats Goose Creek, can we squeak back into the playoffs or are we done?

Yes. Stratford has a chance to make the playoffs.
You have to beat Goose Creek to have any real chance.
You might get third place "Automatic Bid from Region 7" if there is a 3-way tie between Stratford, West Ashley, and Wando.
You should outpoint both of them.

This is your best case scenario:
West Ashley lose to Cane Bay.
Wando beat James Island.
Stratford beat Goose Creek.

If you beat GC and the other things don't happen, you are borderline for a chance into the playoffs.
They are too many variables to list. But there is still a chance.

The loss to James Island put you guys in Critical Condition as far as playoff chances go.


I did run one scenario where you still got in with a loss, but the stars would have to align for that to happen.
The reason I know that..... I was trying to find a way for my Easley Green Wave to make the playoffs.
We fell one short. Stratford! Except when I said it....I sounded more like Seinfeld saying "Newman!"

Goose Creek.....1.....5 - 0
Cane Bay.........2.... 4 - 1
James Island....x.... 2 - 3
West Ashley.....3.... 2 - 3
Stratford........x.... 1 - 4
Wando...........x.... 1 - 4

Best they could hope for would be 2 - 3 record, same as West Ashley and WA has the head to head in week 8. Now if Stratford wins, and you end up with:

Goose Creek.....1.....4 - 1
Cane Bay.........2.... 4 - 1
James Island....x.... 2 - 3
West Ashley.....x.... 2 - 3
Stratford........3.... 2 - 3
Wando...........x.... 1 - 4

Due to Stratford winning the three way tie due to points, I'd say they bump you out.

I don't think James Island can avoid a 3-way tie. (not enough points)
Or a head to head against someone they lost to for 3rd place.

So I think they are out also.
