Region 8- 1.Fort Dorchester 2.Summerville 3.Ashley Ridge

Something different in my Projection:
I really struggled on the River Bluff at Irmo game, but I went with Irmo. :|
I'll post what my Projection would look like if River Bluff wins....

The Boiling Springs and Lexington seed went through several tiebreakers...
I had the Bulldogs getting the spot by opponent wins without markoffs.

Also,(as many will notice) Spartanburg ended up in the D1 bracket because..
Colleton County knocked out Mauldin by 1 opponent win.{I have had many variations on this one... at one point I flipped a coin.. Do BEF's Eagles give Colleton County a push by winning in Round One? Of course, a Mauldin win and it don't matter any more.... Colleton County is in and Boiling Springs is out... Just thought I'd throw one more brick in the septic tank!}

I believe that is the only 4A game that we picked different this week. (RB vs. Irmo)

I wonder how many of the 3A, 2A, 1A, and Out of State games we projected differently?

Agree, Colleton County would definitely be above Boiling Springs if they were to lose....I'm not sure if it would guarantee Colleton County is in? (maybe) :?: (Could some Region 4 or Region 5 outcomes also have an impact on CC as well)

The Beaufort vs. Marlboro County outcome is THE game to watch for CC in the 3A playoffs. I picked Beaufort to win.
"IF" our projections play out, if you just change the outcome of the Beafort vs. MC game;
Mauldin would make the playoffs over Colleton County and Spartanburg would go to the D2 bracket.

Will do a run down of the Mauldin and CC opponents that matter. (To explain why we think that way)

So many possibilities... :ugeek: https://ia700509.us.archive.org/4/items ... opardy.mp3 :ugeek:

No. If Mauldin beats B.S., that really pushes Spartanburg towards the D1 bracket.

Spartanburg needs Mauldin to lose and hope that Mauldin opponents help them and CC opponents don't help them.

Mauldin opponents (Bold) that matter for opponent wins (other opponents play each other (W and L))
Laurens vs. Greenwood
TL Hanna vs. Westside

Colleton County opponents (Bold) that matter (other opponents play each other (W and L))
James Island @ Wando (a win by James Island could be bad for CC, Wando being At-Large could be very bad)
South Aiken @ North Augusta
Orangeburg-Wilkinson @ Hartsville
Beaufort @ Marlboro County

You also need to pay attention to Spring Valley and Lexington.
They could impact Spartanburg. (That one is really long)

I actually see more chances of Colleton County winning the tie-breaker with Mauldin should Mauldin lose to Boiling Springs..

If Mauldin beats Boiling Springs, Colleton County is in, and the tie-breaker discussion becomes a moot point and the Bulldogs start looking to next year thinking of how they started the season as a legit contender for the Region Title but don't even make the playoffs...

So, with that said, this is my revised list with the only change from the original list back in the beginning of this thread, I'm now showing Colleton County getting the tie breaker nod over Mauldin. All the game picks are the same...

DIVISION ONE
1 Fort Dorchester
16 Gaffney

8 Summerville
9 Spartanburg

4 White Knoll
13 Ashley Ridge

5 Northwestern
12 Wando
===========================================
2 Dutch Fork
15 Lexington

7 Fort Mill
10 Sumter

3 Byrnes
14 Boiling Springs

6 Hillcrest
11 Dorman

DIVISION TWO

1 Goose Creek
16 Greenville

8 York
9 North Augusta

4 Westwood
13 Colleton County

5 Greenwood
12 Riverside
=====================================
2 South Florence
15 Socastee

7 Westside
10 Cane Bay

3 Stratford
14 Blythewood

6 River Bluff

Only change to my previous projection...
River Bluff over Irmo

River Bluff over Irmo D1 bracket

River Bluff over Irmo D2 bracket

Many changes to the D2 bracket.
Irmo is out.
River Bluff becomes a #2 from Region 5.
It even changed the D1 bracket.
Lexington and Boiling Springs tiebreaker goes to Lexington instead.
-(because Irmo is a mark-off for Lexington and River Bluff adds an opp. win)

We have focused some on the Mauldin, Boiling Springs, and Colleton County aspect of these brackets.

Everybody, Please keep in mind that there are many other games that will have an impact on these brackets....

Region One
Easley beating Greenville would have an impact,
-Laurens would become an automatic bid instead of At-large.
-Greenville would be out.
---This change "could" put all three (Mauldin, Boiling Springs, and Colleton County) in the playoffs.

Region Four
Spring Valley, Blythewood, and even Ridge View outcomes could have an impact.

Region Five
Lexington (do they get an extra +.5 from a Wando win) - If they lose and Wando loses, they "could" be in danger at 32.5 pts.
(already mention River Bluff and Irmo)

Region Six
Socastee takes 2nd place over Sumter, big shakeup to the brackets

Region Seven
Wando, West Ashley, James Island, and Cane Bay have some sorting out to do.
(Wando not being automatic would be bad for those on the bubble!)

Good question.
Create a "New Topic" on the 4A board asking the same thing.
That way it doesn't get buried in this deep thread.

The Tradition of Gaffney would suggest that Fort D shouldn't take them lightly.
I don't know what Fort D runs on offense but they must have a really good Defense.
