Liner would be a bad fit for Greenwood because he couldn't take Laurens far in the playoffs. He almost got beat by a bad Blythewood team in the first round and got blasted on by Byrnes the second round. Greenwood needs to hire Porter or Nickles. I heard Cathcart is staying in Georgia.

I keep hearing Liner. Don't know if it's true but I really wanted Gene to come back. Liner is a great guy but it's unproven as a head coach. If it is him, he's got his work cut out for him. I wish him the best.

I keep hearing Liner. Don't know if it's true but I really wanted Gene to come back. Liner is a great guy but he's unproven as a head coach. If it is him, he's got his work cut out for him. I wish him the best.

He actually did a heck of a job flipping that program around. Going 9-2 with Laurens is crazy good. This is after he lost a very strong defensive coordinator in Anthony Frate to Hillcrest.

From the outside looking in, Gene and Nickles are better options but Liner can win at Greenwood...especially in 4A.

There are 2 proven state championship coaches interviewing. It didn't have to be Cathcart. We're just familiar with him.

Region 1 5A was also the worst region in 5A, so I'm not sure that's too big of an accomplishment. So I'm not looking at that. I'm looking at the schemes he runs. It's fairly vanilla like Pippin's.
