Your above quote is confusing. 14,221 tests were added? But yet they are reporting 3115 tests?spectator wrote: ↑Wed Jun 03, 2020 4:27 pm14,221 tests were added to SC's total tests today, with 285 new cases. Nonetheless all of the above is incorrect for yesterday.
There were 235 new cases for a 4.5 positivity rate.

Seriously, stop showing your political bias. It renders every point you make invalid. When you make statements that "McMaster is an idiot" it shows that, in your mind, nothing he does is correct. Otherwise, to admit he did something correct, in turns makes your statement "McMaster is an idiot" in correct. So you will continue to double down on that narrative.spectator wrote: ↑Wed Jun 03, 2020 3:50 pmMcMaster is an idiot........he has no idea what he will be dealing with moving forward and certainly no idea if we will face another shutdown........his statement clearly showed his ignorance..........FootballFan4343 wrote: ↑Wed Jun 03, 2020 9:05 amUnless this suddenly starts to effect children/teenagers/etc, high school athletics will continue in South Carolina. With summer workouts to start next week and our state still only with 400 current hopitalized from COVID-19, we will continue to move forward. People need to remember that the lockdowns/shutting school down/etc were based on models that projected north of 5,000 hospitalized at a given time and our medical facilities being over-run. In reality, we have been about about 8% of that. Despite more testing, our hospital numbers are not growing. That is because as we do more testing, we are getting proof to what we anticipated, that the virus was much more prevalent that we thought in the community and much less lethal. Everyday that we see cases in the two hundreds only takes the death percentage down. The CDC now estimates a mortality rate of .4%, which is 4 deaths for every 1,000 people that have the disease. Those numbers pale in comparison to initial projections of 5-10% mortality rates. Now, 10 weeks later, we know the dangers of the disease and can test and manage it. THAT is why things are opening and will continue to open.Cover Three wrote: ↑Wed Jun 03, 2020 8:40 amOn that, I totally disagree. You most definitely will see college and pro football. And just like the high schools, the colleges need that football money to pay for all the sports that produce no revenue. So unless there is a 2nd wave of this virus where folks start dropping like flies, you will see college.
I just don't know about high school. I sure hope so. But the decisions that the administrators make will probably be based on the most dire of projections.
With that said, it is likely we will have some kind of attendance restrictions at football games, of all levels, in the fall. Best guess is 50% capacity. Also, it is likely student athletes will sign a waiver (which will now include infections) to play high school sports. Waivers are never iron clad legal documents, but they make it much more difficult to successfully sue someone.
With that said, if we know anything about McMaster is, he does what he says and sticks by it, good or bad. So the safe bet is that his quote is golden. He clearly said, in a public setting, that lockdowns are over. Based on his history as a politician, you have to take that as the gospel. No matter your beliefs on his politics, the one thing McMaster has never been is someone who changes his mind on something. He is old school, once he says it, he does it.

By making that comment, you in turn called yourself the same thing that you have called the Governor. Honestly, you might want to move on from this. SCHSL doubled down today and are moving forward with summer workouts. Again, High School Football is happening. The Governor has made it extremely clear that no more shutdowns are happening and even your quoted story notes that the Health Department is not going to recommend any more shutdowns. That is past our state and we are moving forward. The stats continue to show that hospitals are running between 400-450 COVID patients statewide, which is about 8% of what was projected. That is why nothing will be shutting back down. That was the REASON for the shutdowns.spectator wrote: ↑Thu Jun 04, 2020 8:40 ama smart man always keeps an open mind...................like i said................he is an idiot...........FootballFan4343 wrote: ↑Thu Jun 04, 2020 7:29 amSeriously, stop showing your political bias. Know what Fascist are? They are the people you are listening to. Here is reality, and feel free to attack me after posting this because in some people's world shutting up rational people like me will solve the problem. They have a name for those kind of people; uneducated, uninformed idiots.FootballFan4343 wrote: ↑Thu Jun 04, 2020 4:11 pmBy making that comment, you in turn called yourself the same thing that you have called the Governor. TODAY was a new record for Coronavirus cases - 361. We are exploding with this virus in S.C. due to the overall ignorance in our state. I tried my best to help high school football happen over the last 6 weeks by begging people to wear their masks and attack this virus, but NOOOOO..........here in the bottom of the barrel of the intelligence spectrum i was attacked and called a fool............who is the fool now?
McMaster is taking his marching orders directly from trump, who could care less about our students. Keep following Fascist and it may be years before we play football again in this state. Here are the real numbers over the last week or so, if someone is too stupid to see from this that football is a long way off, they are beyond help.
Remember, we shut this state down with 125 consistent cases each day...........that DOES MATTER...
Tuesday – 253
Wednesday – 207
Thursday – 156
Friday – 331
Saturday – 266
Sunday - 312
Monday – 297
Tuesday – 285
Wednesday – 235
Thursday – 361

Re: How Will The SCHSL Protect the Kids and Coaches
You guys have got to quit tagging that list of endless posts. Regardless, are cases going to rise with more testing? Of course. And this virus will be around a while. But here is the bottom line. Thousands upon thousands had covid before we even knew what it was. Many felt they just had the bug that was going around. Some felt like they had a cold. Others no symptoms at all. And the most vulnerable are the same people that fall victim to death by the flu every year. If you are frail, and elderly, stay home. If you have an underlying condition where an upper respiratory condition could cause an issue, stay home. Otherwise, if you are healthy and under the age of about 75 you have a better chance of dying in a car wreck. For young folks, about the same chance as getting struck by lightening. We cant live in the basement forever folks. No matter how bad some of the folks on the left side of politics want us to.

Re: How Will The SCHSL Protect the Kids and Coaches
I'm going to get an antibodies test done as soon as they are readily available and reasonably accurate. I travelled to Dallas/Ft.Worth on business in mid-December, a few days after my return I developed the worst respiratory infection of my life. Fever & chills for days, I could barely breathe and almost went to the ER. I had to sleep sitting up to keep from choking to death. I tested negative for flu and strep, so it went down as "unidentified viral respiratory infection". It took me 3 or 4 weeks to really get over it. I might be South Carolina's "patient zero".
