Alright from what I saw,
Emerald has football bodies, good size. The reason why they continually lose is because they're not nearly aggressive enough. They seem to just go through the motions. Just my opinion. They definitely have the participation though! Maybe the most they've ever had. I wish them luck
As for Greenwood,
They were getting after it. QB needs time to grow up. Looks similar to an undeveloped Armanti Edwards. That's a compliment. Greenwood continues to lack in size. Might be a problem facing some of the better 4A teams. As of right now our first shot at a win will probably be North Augusta. Just don't see us beating AC Flora, Sandy Creek, or Dorman. I like the new offense though. Just need to keep getting after it. The game was tied 7-7 when I left but 96 was driving so we might have lost. Not sure.

It should be added that Greenwood is running a new offense and was rotating it's starters out to get everyone reps to develop depth. It looks like all of the other teams left their starters in. At least at QB. They have some things to iron out. That's the purpose of these scrimmages. I like that they are throwing the ball around more. QB has arm strength. Keep in mind that these are just scrimmages.

All that is fair. I suppose they're still trying to figure out what they do best in the new offense this year. I'll say this, while they do lack in size hopefully they made up for that in the weight room. Cathcart's teams lacked in size other than a hand full of guys but damn if they weren't strong and tough. Strength, conditioning, mental and physical toughness will determine if they will be competitive this year. We'll definitely find out sooner than later with who we're playing the first three games.

They are talented more than I'm used to seeing them be as of late. I hope they have a great season. The only thing I would be concerned with is depth. They are only dressing around 25 players. The Emerald game will be a good test to see what happens in a full game.

If my Wildcats can stay injury free
i believe they have an excellent chance
of finishing 2 in the region behind
Abbeville. One of the lineman hurt his
knee last night. Don't know how bad.
all 25 players played last year. Some kids did not
come back out this year. I think they will have
15 on the jv team. Hopefully Coach can
get more in the program next year.

Yes. I was told it is a senior laden team. They go hard and have talent.
