5A Combined rankings

I've taken the numbers from Doodles, MaxPreps and Massey and made it where the top score is 333 points and then by ranked the rest of the teams based on that percentage. What you see below is a comparison list of how the teams stack up using all three of the rankings.
THIS IS NOT MY OPINION OF THE RANKINGS, it is just a list of what the three experts think of the teams at this point in time.

There are only 36 schools in 5-A now!? You mean to tell me 32 of these are going to make the playoffs!?
Not much different than the old “Big 16” back in the day I guess…still kinda crazy though

Yeah, recent memory plays an important role in early polls and rankings. IF I were a voter, or had my own poll, I would likely still have them as #1 because I'm still not convinced that they are not the best team in the state at this point. I was very happy with the Rebels game on Saturday and Dutch Fork not scoring until very much after the outcome was determined could make someone very suspicious of the Silver Foxes; however, as we often say with those Injuns... "It's not how they play in Aug/Sept, it's how they play in Nov/Dec that is important!"
As for the playoffs, ... I'm all for rewarding teams with a playoff game, but not to the point we have now. I think we should be more like NC and have combined classifications in the regular season and split come playoffs. A, AA, AAA and then 16 team brackets for the playoffs: A-Division 1 and Division 2, AA-Division 1 and Division 2, AAA-Division 1 and Division 2. That would be 96 teams in the playoffs and not 160 teams.

You said it....see how the Silver Foxes look after the bye week and region play starts...was the same way last season. Kinda limped along until he got folks healthy and all the right people in the right positions....after that they went 9-0 outscoring opponents 474-84. If they are playing after Thanksgiving, we will know he figured it out again.

Well, the schedule doesn't seem to be loaded at the end so you can glide after Hough (and I will admit I don't know a lot about Weddington other than they are currently ranked one slot above Hough in NC.
Spartanburg
HOUGH, NC I'd say at least 8 or 9 point favorite using Doodles
Stratford - 28 point favorite using current Doodles
North Augusta - 32 point favorite
Weddington, NC maybe 7 point favorite
BYE
White Knoll - 21 point
Chapin - NAME IT
River Bluff - 21 point
Lexington - 21 point
You will be fine come November when they unveil the brackets.

Knotts has been rough on that region the last 5 years against those same four teams. In 20 games outscored them 1086-150....that is not a typo. He is definitely inside their heads.

Upstate or lower state I keep hearing both.
