Fort Dorchester defeated My Beaufort Eagles in a 34-17 win last night. What a game that it turned out to be!!!! Beaufort recovered the short kickoff to start the game in which they scored a TD on that opening drive and then The Eagles recovered another Kickoff after that TD and turned it into a Field Goal. So Beaufort opened up a 10-0 lead over Fort D, Beaufort Led 10-7 at the Half, and had the lead 17-7 in the 3rd Quarter. Mistakes and bad passing coverage by the defense led to Fort Dorchester coming back to win this game. But all in all, it was a pretty exciting game. I tried to tell justafan, Fort D-Summerville Guy, Scotty....or whomever he goes by , that Beaufort would play Fort Dorchester tough. The Eagles always plays the Patriots Tough.

I thought that Beaufort RB Caleb Ulmer had a nice game. Beaufort's Offensive Line did a better job on their blocking and Beaufort QB Samari Bonds had another nice game but he still needs to throw the ball a little quicker than he does. Beaufort's Center did a better job at Hiking the Football. There were still a few questionable calls and calls that weren't made by the officials but I thought that Beaufort's Passing defense is what caused them to lose this game. The Eagles really need to work on their Passing Defense a little more and to also practice their tackling, there were a few missed tackles in this game.

Well, My Eagles are 0-2 at this point. But you know that I am not panicking because Beaufort's 2 losses were to 5A Teams that are pretty good. I thought that My Eagles had pretty much held their own against these 2 teams and if they didn't have those mistakes in the 2nd half these games could have been wins. I wouldn't want to be Hilton Head next week as Beaufort will be making the trip to play their County Rivals. Hilton Head is a 4A School.

Good luck to Fort Dorchester for the rest of their season. I still truly believe that Beaufort will have another great season and will still make some noise in the 3A Playoffs. What a great crowd at this game!!!! It was great seeing Ron Parker getting his Jersey retired and them adding it to the Scoreboard. He certainly deserved it.

I beg to differ. Beaufort was fired up, seem we were going thru the motions. No fire no nothing as if they didn't wanna play or expect to show up and win. Beaufort recovered 2 short kicks. Don't know what the up man was thinking he literally watched the ball. It happen twice until we put our TE over there. We had no answer for their counter and we couldn't Block a cheerleading squad. Second half we made adjustments. That counter play got stuffed for negative yards alot. Offense still took a min to get going but we got rolling. 4th qtr we handle biz. Beaufort was tough early but like I told BEF at halftime, we were sleep walking. When we woke up it was over. We got weapons we didn't even unleash yet as if we were holding back for Grayson or something. Beaufort qb elusive but his passing need lots of work. He work on that watch out. We faced adversity and we pulled out the win. We needed that to show mental toughness. Let's be clear though, a locked in fort team the entire game not just second. Half, the game wouldn't even been close

Beaufort bullies .
Two for sure .
Lack of discipline.
What's that coach doing .
Might have to build a DJJ facility in Beaufort.

Hey, fdgrad00. It was great seeing and talking with you at the half of this exciting game. Congrats to your Patriots on their win over My Eagles. You still need to have a talk with your buddy justafan though and let him know that Beaufort has a pretty good team and played those Patriots tough. I think that both Beaufort and Fort Dorchester will have really good teams this season. I hope that Beaufort continues to play Fort Dorchester for many more years. It is a good test for both teams.

Slick, I am so glad that you brought that up. I forgot to mention that in my post about the game. Beaufort needs to definitely work on this. It has cost them a lot this season. The bad thing is, that most of these penalties have been on the same player. I hope to see this corrected by the next game.

Same result . No one said you weren't a good team.just outmatched .
Fort cannot wait to get fired up against a good team. It will cost them. Every play counts .
Never doubted they would win .
We need to play better teams iron sharpens iron.
We don't gain much from a glorified scrimmage .
