What are we thinking about this matchup? Last year it was a blow out but that clearly means nothing.

I'd give the advantage to Byrnes since they're at home.

I think Byrnes 21 Greenville 17

I think Byrnes by a few scores. As I said in another post m, the Byrnes program is at a crossroad. Either some changes are gonna be made or the seat will be getting real warm in Duncan.

If there is not a change in attitude, play calling and maybe who is under center for that matter..it won’t be a good situation. Byrnes home field advantage and mystique it once had at Nixon field is pretty much a thing of the past. Although it did find itself the last regular season game against Gaffney last year. I will say that. Hopefully the team responds to the challenge. For a school that hasn’t won State in 11 seasons you wouldn’t think they would need to be humbled. But I guess so

Not necessarily in that order, but there is a whole lot of truth in that statement. I do think that "attitude" goes from the 5th stringer to the coaching staff.. based on last week. Remember what Bobby used to say, "You better be practice like you are playing the #1 team in the state! I can guarantee you that is how _____________ is preparing!"

Have we taken over as the "wine and cheese" crowd?

This is the bottom line. The talent is there, but will the coaches and team respond to the challenge and bounce back from a terrible game last week? Give Chapman all their due credit, they prepared and they executed their game plan, but we obviously didn't.

Well, I think they were humbled quite significantly last week and I bet they have heard it all week....

I agree with everything said. Talent is not lacking at all. I think we need to play the back-up QB or we are going to basically be in the same situation as last year where 9-4 may be their ceiling. The defense is there for the ride, the offense just needs to join the party.

When B was running the show, Byrnes won those games Sunday -Thursday, by Friday it was just a matter of how bad it was going to be. They need to get back to playing with a chip on their shoulder and hopefully getting humbled will do that.

I was talking with my buddy this morning and he is convinced Byrnes needs to start playing with more pride, as he said it used to mean something to be a Rebel. I think we will see a more motivated Byrnes team this week. Is #1 the backup QB for y'all?

One should maybe get some direct snaps, but no he is not the backup QB. I agree with the Pride statement, Byrnes needs to find that gear again and go back to have their killer instinct.

I saw the freshman RB picked up his first offer
