I saw the news. He was banned from ALL Colleton County games for the rest of the season,

Hmmm. It's entirely possible that the reporter wouldn't have put that play and the incident that followed on the air if he hadn't been ejected and banned from the stadium. The pass was incomplete and the penalties off-setting, so it was essentially just an incomplete 3rd down pass.

The coach made it a news-worthy incident, and kinda' forced the reporter's hand.

I'm wondering what we are not hearing...

Maybe the coach asked him to stop recording because the young man was obviously very upset and totally out of control and he was thinking of the player....

Maybe the coach didn't want folks to get a tainted opinion of CC or the player, or the coaching staff...

But to be ejected and banned, there was definitely more to the story than that little clip.

I was there. It was a joke for the coach to ban the reporter. The film tells most of the story. Am sure the coaches got on to him for causing the penalty to be offset. At that point the player just started fighting anyone on the staff that was within reach. This went on for a few minutes until someone from the CC staff finally tackled him all the way down near the goal line. Am sure the coach didn’t want this incident on TV, but he needs to look in the mirror and realize he better get control of his players as their actions are just a reflection on him.
And sad to see. CC has a nice enough facility and they have the size and speed to be a good team with the right leadership.

I think they should ban all green wave too and bucees braggers.

It’s completely embarrassing!! I’ll be glad to see cooler weather. The pretenders and cry babies are usually all gone by mid November.

Totally inappropriate by the coach. TOTALLY

Great assessment of the Situation, Deputy! I completely agree with you. I also was at this Game. It was a complete embarrassment for the Colleton County Football Program. I was so embarrassed to see what transpired at this game.

On the play that started this awful commotion, The Colleton County Receiver was pushed hard out of bounds. The Ref called a UC Penalty against the White Knoll Player. But the Colleton County Player got mad at the White Knoll Player and got up and started to fight with him. The Refs then called a UC Penalty against The Colleton County Player. The Head Coach for Colleton County then grabbed his own player by the facemask and started fussing him out. The player then started pushing the Coach and then it went all haywire. Another Colleton County player tried to take up for that player and then tried to fight the Coaches and The Coaches finally tackled him to the Ground and got him back to the Locker Room. I also heard that he tried to fight the Colleton County Sheriff's Officers who helped get him in the locker room. I have never seen anything like this in my 51 years of life. It was so crazy!!!! Even though I am a HUGE Beaufort Eagles Fan, I live in Walterboro and pull for the Colleton County Cougars to do well. I also pull for Colleton Prep Academy as My Daughter cheers there. But this event at the Cougars game was terrible. I know the SCHSL will probably get involved in some way. Something needs to be done about this awful situation. These Players should be suspended for awhile or maybe even be kicked off the team. If I was the Head Coach, they would definitely not be playing for me anymore after acting that way and assaulting the coaches.

As for the Game, White Knoll beat Colleton County 42-15. White Knoll has a really good team this year.

So sad to see that. I know the coach was on an emotional high when he kicked the reporter out. That was a great opportunity to display to your team how to handle an emotional situation by calmly talking to the reporter and asking for him not to air that.
Maybe as some have stated, the incident is a reflection of the leadership the players have.
