POTENTIAL CHANGE TO SCORING SYSTEM FOR "RWTD"

I was watching College Game Day and noticed they made a change to to the SUPERDOG and I think I like what they did and I wanted to get some feedback from some of you folks.
The way it works now, an upset is an upset and it gets you 5 points. It doesn't matter if is a a 3 point DOG or a 33 point DOG. What I'm thinking is instead of giving the 5 points to every underdog that is a winner; what about giving the spread that Mister Doodles shows as the score. Pick a bigger upset, you get more points....
Open to other suggestions as well (as long as I can make the spreadsheet work). Give me some feedback and for those who want to say we can't change scoring after the season has started, why can't we? There are no prizes and if we want to make the game better and more fair and more fun, I say we change it when we want to change it... now if there was $$ involved, it would be different.
EDIT: I redid things using this potential scoring system (I still have to do some quality control double checking on formulas to make sure the formulas are correct) so that you could see what the changes would look like in real life examples. Take a look at them and let me know what you think!
