Byrnes vs Greer

Big game for us! I knew we would beat Blue Ridge, but Byrnes is a different animal. I think we've won once since 2000. Just hoping to be competitive this week. Seeing the Chapman game gave me some hope, but then watching Byrnes against Greenville, I lost all of that hope.

If Byrnes will just keep getting the ball to their playmakers.. good luck stopping them. The defense is really good as well. The last time Greer won was 2000 at Nixon field.

It seems like this is the deepest Byrnes team in a while, legit 4-5 receivers that can score anytime they touch the ball, and that running back #21 is special. I just hope our QB can make throws and extend drives and limit Byrnes possessions, I don't trust our defense to stop a nose bleed.

Greer played Byrnes much tougher last year being the 4th game of the season and not the first. I’ll say 35-14. We will see if the Rebels can keep the same intensity and effort they did against Greenville. The change in attitude was nice to see

Greer may indeed win their region because it is without a doubt the weakest 4A region in the state. That being said, it is sad to see Greer on the decline.

I may have to go with the mighty Warriors of Riverside...

Fri, 8/18 Travelers Rest W 49-7
Fri, 8/25 J.L. Mann L 42-14
Fri, 9/01 Woodmont W 37-26
Fri, 9/08 Christ Church Episcopal W 48-28

They seem to score a lot... but the next couple of weeks will tell us all we need to know about them:
Fri, 9/15 Home ---- Spartanburg
Fri, 9/22 Home ---- Daniel

Boys this might be one of if not the worst Greer teams I've ever seen in my life.

The fight before the game was beyond ridiculous! They are lucky the refs had not gotten there yet. I heard a certain Byrnes player like to run his mouth every single game in warmups. That needs to stop!! These coaches now are soft and have no discipline for the players either. Other than that it was a good game for the Rebels
