Some comments for REGION II AAAAA GAMES at this point in time:

29-Sep Boiling Springs AT Dorman......Bulldogs are playing better, Dorman has been struggling...
29-Sep Spartanburg AT Byrnes...........What a way to start Region Play! At least it is at Duncan!
29-Sep Gaffney..................................I wonder if there will be any coaches in Duncan that night?

6-Oct Byrnes AT Boiling Springs......Always a tough game! These two don't like each other.
6-Oct Mauldin AT Dorman...............Almost a BYE week for Dorman!
6-Oct Gaffney AT Spartanburg.........If the Vikings are 1-0 in Region, this could be the Championship Game for them!

13-Oct Boiling Springs AT Gaffney........What are the odds of the Bulldogs being 2-0?
13-Oct Dorman AT Byrnes...................Has Dorman settled down? At least it is at Duncan!
13-Oct Spartanburg............................After the past two weeks, a BYE sounds very good to the Vikings

20-Oct Spartanburg AT Boiling Springs.....Vikings come to town, rested from the BYE week, Bulldogs better ready.
20-Oct Gaffney AT Dorman......................Last year, the Indians wrapped up the Region with this win, I am not sure it will be the same this year!
20-Oct Byrnes.........................................Week off to prepare for Gaffney, but will it really matter?

RIVALRY WEEK FOR SURE
27-Oct Dorman AT Spartanburg............Even if playoff positions are set, this is a BIG GAME
27-Oct Byrnes AT Gaffney.....................It really doesn't matter what is on the line for this game!
27-Oct Boiling Springs

Let me play devils advocate for a minute let’s that Gaffney Spartanburg and Byrnes lose 2 region games and theee is a 3 way tie how is it broken up still points after the 4th qtr or is some other complicated formula

Previous years it has been:
Head to Head (always breaks a two team tie but rarely breaks a three or more team tie)
Margin at the end of the third quarter in games between the tied teams. (Usually breaks a three or more team tie)

Example:
Let's say the three teams are 3-1 and 1-1 against each other.

End of third quarter scores come up this way:
Byrnes (+7 and 0) = +7
Gaffney (0 and +3) = +3
Spartanburg (-7 and -3) = -10

Byrnes wins 3 way tie breaker

Then Head to Head will break the Gaffney - Spartanburg tie.

It WAY TOO early, but in reality; there is a possibility (although not real likely) that this region could end up:

SPARTANBURG.....2 - 2
GAFFNEY.............2 - 2
DORMAN............ 2 - 2
BYRNES.............. 2 - 2
B. SPRINGS.........2 - 2

So you got Spartanburg favored over Gaffney…with a 1 point win over Broome and DF victory…guess DF carry weight still..

Well, I did say "WAY TOO EARLY"....

And we lost to Chapman, but we could win the Region if we played like we did against Greenville. That's one thing about High School football, which team shows up? Will it be the team from last night that played Grayson toe to toe or the team that almost lost to Broome? I went with the Vikings because the game is at Spartanburg... to be totally honest.

My early prediction is Gaffney winning the region. Have watched all their games on YouTube. They have improved from that first game and #5 for them is a difference maker

After seeing what Northwestern did at Gaffney, I'm starting to think that Spartanburg, Gaffney and Byrnes could very easily be 1-1 against each other and all it would take is a slip up against Dorman or Boiling Springs and ... you falling low in the Region.
