Now that we are about halfway through the regular season, does anyone have any early comments on which schools may be looking for a change this offseason?

Is it to early to say Dorman? I know it's a first year HC but they seem to be struggling, very un Dorman like.

A lot of bad football being played in this state. Dorman? I don’t think they run a hometown guy after one year. One would think Blue Ridge, but that’s Greenville County and it doesn’t matter at most schools. One would figure Fort Mill, and possibly Nations Ford if anybody in Fort Mill cares. Rock Hill? One would think Emerald might make a change, but it doesn’t seem to matter down there. Not real versed in the lower state but figure there will be a lot of movement there. Always seems to be.

That seat over at Emerald has to be heating up.

I do not see Dorman making a change after 1 year. Greenville County is always a crap shoot honestly, no clue what will happen there. What has happened to Union County? They have a very rich tradition and appear to be really struggling the past couple of years.

Gutshall's last season, a one year coach, and now the new new coach... Three different coaches in three years has to be a hard situation. You'd have to realistically expect some issues this year wouldn't you? I don't see any way other than dismissal for cause where they make a change this quickly.

They were in every game so far other than the Clover game and in the other games, one more good play per game and they could easily be 4-1. I'm not sure it is time to count them out yet...

Fri, 8/18 Greenville L 34-21
Fri, 8/25 North Augusta W 34-13
Fri, 9/1 Greenwood L 10-7
Fri, 9/15 Clover L 35-13
Fri, 9/22 River Bluff L 29-28

Lauren’s will be open id imagine, they’re winless, the guy inherited a region championship caliber team and has proceeded to run it in the ground…. I imagine Brynes will be making changes if they don’t make a run in the playoffs. That loss to Chapman had to hurt. Emerald will probably make a change, could see Blue Ridge opening up, the HC isn’t young could look to retire… I imagine there will be a couple of suprise openings as usual

Could also see Greer opening up as well...

I certainly don’t see Greer opening up unless Young just decides he wants to retire. They aren’t going to fire him. Blue Ridge could, but Shane Clark is still the AD and winning football doesn’t seem to be his strong suit. And then again, it is Greenville County where few seem to care. If they did you would see changes at Eastside, Wade Hampton, and a few other schools. But on the other hand, in GC the football coach cannot be the AD. This shows you the level of importance the district places on football. That has, and will, take a lot of candidates off the table that could improve some of those situations
