If 5A Playoffs was like the new NCAA format...

Using a format like the NCAA will use beginning next year, this is what the 5A bracket would look like based on results to date and using Doodles, Massey and MaxPrep rankings.
4 Region Champs with highest rankings get a BYE in week one. The other 3 Region Champs get in even if they are not ranked in the TOP 12 and they all get sorted together and seeded. Now for the NCAA, they will have a committee to do the rankings but I just used those three gurus to do the rankings.
I think 32 teams making the 5A playoffs is far too many, but maybe 12 teams is too small for a playoff bracket. However, 24 would be a good compromise. Personally, I'd like to see 24 regardless of Upper/Lower but maybe you could do 12 for the Upper State and 12 for the Lower State.... We all know the coaches want 32 to be able to say they made the playoffs on the resume....
